America = win. Don't even say we don't have a history; that could be about the dumbest thing I've heard on GR in a while. In fact, it was only about 230 years ago we were created and we've already risen to the top. If you don't count the Revolutionary War, Pearl Harbor, Civil War, or anything else history you need to take your head out of your behind and wake up. Who ever has heard about the Belgian history? My grandmother is Belgian, I got nothing wrong with you, but saying that America has no history is ignorant and flat out stupid. And yes, we are the most dominant country on the planet. Our president is a complete douchewipe, but we are the most dominant.
Really, what happen in the 1870's I cant seem to remember, King Leopold or something, can you refresh my memory? Trying to civilize Africa or something, I do believe Belgium screwed up there
Ok who gives a ------. ------ the brits if can't take 3 ppl dead then you shouldn't of came to Iraq. ------ off and stop complaining.
everyone says "ferret ownz u so STfU!" because he clearly makes large posts which 70% of GR won't read and will obviously assume that he's making a point. :|
No, your prime minister couldn't get his lips off the President's dick. If your nation had half of a spine, you'd have stayed out if you believe it's so wrong to be there. You have a few thousand troops there. We have ~130,000 ground troops, plus carrier groups in the Gulf, aircraft based out of Bahrain and Saudi, and even some Coast Guard guys in the ports. You've been responsible for al-Basra and the surrounding areas. Except for small Australian groups around the country, we've had the rest. And with ten thousand more troops, we could fill the breach if you and the Australians and the rest of this ever-shrinking Coalition weren't there.
Trust me here, there was a ------ing outcry when he said our troops had to go there. Most of England didn't want our troops to go, we wanted to stay out of it, but that dick Tony Blair couldn't help but suck Bush's arsehole, not our choice at the end of the day. it's not up to the English public, it's up to that absolute muppet, and once you serve, you have no choice but to obey and go where they tell you. All part of being in the services.
Exactly, and that's why you don't sign up for the military if you can't handle the fact that you might be killed.
*sighs* Learn what the War of Iraq is truly about and stop believing the oil BS stories. Once you've grasped the situation fully, then go and start arguing how we suck so badly for being there and "dragging" you there. The leaders always suck when the media bias covers the minds of the country's citizens.
Very sorry to quote a post so far back into the topic. But I kind of had to say this. I do not wish to offend you, Strotha Tynhe. But your post upsets me, in that no one really knows the history anymore, and that you really couldn't care for the countries that birthed your own. "They seem to have forgotten who comes to Europe's aid whenever there are situations they can not handle" Fact - The USA would not have entered WW2 if it had not been for the Japanese's foolish attack on Pearl Harbour. "They also seem to have forgotten who rebuilt Europe." Well, Atlee rebuilt Britian. He was british. The eastern European countries got nothing other than more conflict, being involved in the very pointless Cold War, between the USA and the USSR. Germany was also plagued by the stalemate battle between the USA and USSR. The people of East Germany (excluding Western Berlin) were forced into communism because of all of allied forces' agreement to appease Stalin. "Get over yourself you're not better than the next American." You're right. But you're no better than the next Briton. And in response to the above posts about Iraq (it always comes back to Iraq, the great time waster): We weren't dragged into it by the US. We were forced into it by Tony Blair. However, I'm not sure how much better Gordon Brown is... To conclude: Patriotism is worse than religion. It is similar, but more extreme. If you all can't just agree that all countries are as magnificant as each other in culture, then ------ you all. edit: Please, don't compare Tony Blair to Britain. He was a minge. Get your facts right, there were protests against the invasion, but no votes. We had little to no choice.
Yes, that's what I said. You disagree because you think America is better, and that is causing a dispute.
Then why are you complaining? Those soldiers accepted the risks when they joined the military, as do volunteer soldiers all over the world. Your government didn't see fit to try to stop Mr. Blair by way of, say, a motion of no confidence. Protesters are, believe it or not, a very small minority that gets a very large majority of media attention.
