    I know they're ------ing accidents

The U.S. is still a bunch of ------ing morons for the accidents even happening.

Funny how they cause more deaths in wars than the enemy does

Do you honestly believe that, if it were a British pilot flying air support, that this would not have happened? Friendly fire happens, and the probability of it happening increases significantly when people are up close and personal, as it is in Iraq. It sucks, but like collateral damage, it is unfortunately a part of war.

My cousin was actually fired upon by both Polish troops and these (superior?) British troops, and they weren't going 500 miles per hour trying to judge whether that little grey thing down there is a friendly vehicle or a car full of guys shooting at the people they are trying to help. In fact, one of the members of his patrol was wounded. He took a round in the leg, though the Americans were clearly in uniform and well within 100 yards (easy visual ID). I don't see a topic about that, though, and you'll probably just blame that on the American troops being stupid enough to walk around British troops.

P.S.: if the Brits called in air support, they are fully responsible for giving that pilot the proper directions. If he has the slightest bit of doubt as to what he's trying to bomb, mistakes will happen, and they are very often lethal. Sorry to piss on your parade.

However, I welcome you to have your country take over the air support role. I'm sure somebody can do a better job simply because their nationality is different. F**king morons. You haven't the slightest clue.

Eh I can't believe how many Americans think that they did the whole war.

Just goes to show you how many Americans ARE ignorant

Now for the Iraqi war, we're clearing you're ass in Afghanistan. You'll say "Oh you guys ain't doing nothing" Meanwhile there are mothers losing daughters/sons. Needless to say, I don't even think we should of set foot in ANY part of that country.

    Wrong, China is.

They have got some of the leading technology, not to be confused with the Canadians leading technology in weapons, radios, artillery, gear.

They got a whole ---- load of numbers too, with weapons/air/ground/sea forces to compete with.

    So...

    China
    US
    Canada
    British Forces
    German

    Imo.

Yes, it's only the Americans that are ignorant...

China has a military full of unmotivated conscripts. Americans are better trained, better equipped, more likely to have some form of combat experience under their belts, and most importantly have the freedom to think for themselves. Americans are volunteers, and most are in the military for reasons ranging from patriotism to learning a trade -- there is motivation there from day one. The Chinese rely on their officers for any and all decisions, which serves the dual purpose of de-emphasizing the role of a junior officer (a platoon leader, for example) and making their units less flexible. An officer or senior NCO would be required to do something that the most junior E-4 in the US Army could do -- lead a four-man team.

Their equipment is good -- at least what they show you. If you honestly believe that every Chinese soldier has body armor, a (modern) helmet, rifle, ammunition, tactical radios, and the ability to call in support even at the squad level, you're simply naive.

    --- --- ---

    For the f**king matter,

Some of you people are so ridiculously stupid when it comes to any and all matters involving nationality. You dumbs**t, high-minded idiots will sit your fat asses down behind your f**king keyboards and type out 'lulz the americans r stupids lulz' and then pop off with something like 'had the British been involved, it would never have happened.' Tell you what, consider this scenario:

You're in the ------pit of a fighter-bomber. You've got people shouting at you, telling you that their guys are dying down there. You've got confused commands coming in. Now, try and make a the life-or-death decision about dropping your bombs in the time it takes to read this sentence. Too late. You're about to lose the shot. You drop your payload. You just killed those guys you were trying to help.

    Go ahead and f**king criticize.

Fu.ck off would we be kissing hitlers ass if it weren't for america, america sat on there ass the whole war until the rest of the allies started to win, then america came in and stole all the glory. Also logic hwat a load of sh!t, they should have made sure the whole area was clear before the airforce acted, it ain't a childish game, you can't say well you should have moved then i wouldn't have walked into you. I live near the Sandhurst Royal Military Academy and i have many friends who are just about to join the army or already have and are out there, i also have many friends who have parents out there and for me or them to hear that they died in action is bad enough, but to hear that they died cause some d!ckhead american got trigger happy is alot worse.

Another thing is half of the things that america have done wrong have all been a cover up and they are sometimes leaked like the football player that was killed over there. We don't know anything really cause George Bush is just burying himself further and further into his own ----.

I have to disagree China is powerful, I mean they devote so much money toward their military. And they can afford it, which is the good part.

Theirs about 1.3 billion people in China, I forget when the date was, I will search but China has one problem, they dont have enough people.

Look at this 800-850 million people in china will retire soon, or already have. Thats leaves the 450-500 million left to support 800-850. I am not sure how China's social security works.

So if we or any well decent country warred with China, I think they would be screwed imo. Cuz 450-500 million to support 800-850 is pretty bad. So could they afford to lose some of that 450-500 million.

If we (the US) did war with China or some more countries it would be pretty interesting. Because one we will draw out the war, two we will get other countries involve, and three were ------y putting it simple, we want draw out unless something drastic happens.

Yes. Britain could have won the entire war by itself, isolated on its island, with no support from the mainland, which was for all intents and purposes German. You could have kept your sea lanes open. You could have done without the millions of tax dollars in aid. You could have done without the tanks, guns, ammunition, fighters, and raw materials that were sent over. Before you bring up Russia, they got the same. It's called Lend-Lease, Sandhurst boy. They were brought over on American ships called 'Liberty ships.' Americans bled and died before they officially entered the war -- all to bring supplies to support your nation in its time of need. And they weren't even military. This was from 1939-1942, before America became involved.

Then we came in. We gave even more manufacturing ability to the Allied war effort. We gave vast manpower for the Western and Pacific areas of operations. We gave you the boost needed to take North Africa and Italy. We provided most of the manpower for the Normandy landings. We shed most of the blood in Normandy. We provided two entire airborne divisions at your disposal so you could f**k up Market Garden, jumping our soldiers on top of an entire SS mechanized division. We held the line in the Ardennes. We provided the bulk of the manpower for Operation Varsity. The war ended. I'd thoroughly enjoy seeing that done on England's limited resources, or you even justifying how it could be done -- Russia was no direct ally to you, though they tied up vast amounts of troops in the East; you had nothing other than Canada and Australia, whom you f**ked over to defend your interests instead of placing them where they were needed.

Does that mean that you didn't play a huge, crucial role in the war? Absolutely not. Does that give you an excuse to play the 'we're so awesome because we're not American' card? No.

    ---

You've got friends that are in/about to be in the Army, you say? Ask them this: how do you get a plane to drop a bomb where it's needed. I'll save you the trouble: a radio! Guess who has that radio? The guys on the ground! Guess who tells them (or doesn't clearly do so, in this case) exactly where that bomb is needed? The guys on the ground! The only thing the pilot does is guide his plane to that requested target and pull the trigger.

So, how does this go down you ask?

British patrol makes contact in built-up city. Enemy is in buildings, on street, in vehicles. Patrol leader finds cover, makes the judgment call to go for support and requests an air strike. British forward air controller makes contact with overhead American aircraft, attempts to guide him in to the targets, which are (in military terminology) 'danger close,' less than a hundred meters away. The patrol leader, knowing that there is a chance that the bomb could go off target, that his instructions weren't clear enough, or any other reason, gives the go-ahead to drop the bombs. Pilot complies, bombs are released at what he believes to be the target (remember that he can't tell who is who at 5,000 feet and 750 miles per hour, and neither can his computers and flight systems). British troops are struck, in this case because their position was not clearly marked by something such as a strobe or marking panel (both of which are easily deployable and are standard kit) and because they did not guide that pilot in as they should have. He is not dropping smart bombs -- they don't have the kit to designate a target for them. Their position was not properly identified, and when it comes to identifying your position, the ball is completely in the court of those on the ground. BBC picks up the story, spins it to 'all Americans are incompetent, they're being negligent in their duties, the British soldiers were doing their jobs properly, bla bla bla bla bla.' Ignorant, impressionable kid picks up the story, shows his equally-ignorant buddies, and they proceed in a mutual masturbation fest about how they're somehow superior to another group of people simply because they happen to live in a certain nation.

As I've said before, you are f**king clueless.
