For the sake of argument, the Xbox 360 has new hardware, specs, superior graphics from its predecessor, and it uses HD-DVD discs which are in the current war of next generation DVD's against the Blu-Ray. Not to sound redundant from my last post but the systems are different, both have specifications that appeal to different people. Some people like the Xbox 360 controller some like the PS2 controller and until you have actually held a PS3 controller, you cannot say that it is better than another controller until [u[you have tested it. Not just by looks, as that's as shallow as judging someone by their looks. Obviously Sony and Microsoft have reasons for developing the controllers to look and be the way they are; comfort and aesthetic design are possibly two of the reasons.

xbox360 may have new hardware but it is still not pure gen....as i said a good pc can be comparable AND just as good as xbox360. why do you think most xbox360 games(launch) are for pc too? I played xbox360 at futureshop and played call of duty 2, king kong, and kameo i have to admit these all look jaggy and textures are not what i expected, the only reason it LOOKS good is because of the good lightning and hdr, without it it would look garbage. I have CoD2 on my pc and it looks 2x better then the xbox360 version as ps3 is so special is because it has a new processor chip that almost acts like a super computer. the CELL is utterly powerful, one SPE performs 70% better than a G5 at 2,7 Ghz for vertex transform and lighting. It's incredible. For many application, the CELL is ten times faster than P4 or G5,(MPEG2 decoding, matrix multiplication, cryptography...). one SPE is capable to read a MPEG 2 HDTV stream at 77 frame/s!!!! there were 3 major companies who developed this "cell" Sony, IBM and i think it was panasonic. don't believe me? go here http://www-128.ibm.com/developerworks/powe...ry/pa-cellperf/ The controller is what im so ticked off about, people are just saying how crappy the controller that ps3 has just by looking at it, they havnt even touched it so why talk shyt about it now? wait untill it comes out.
If I were a Graphics Freak, I would've gotten this by release date. I might get it, only if I were rich or if the prices lowered. I wonder if I could interact with the feel of the game more than the look of the game. *OFF TOPIC* There were things that these companies did to make their system most known (instead of presentations, conference, meetings, etc.) 60 - Making its appearance early. PS3 - Showing lots of trailers and teasers. Revolution - Just one Revolution controller revealed. In my opinion, I predict that the popularity of the console race would go as (this is what I would think. I'm not completely sure so don't get mad): 1. Ps3 (Attracts gamers of any kind) 2. Revo (Attracts gamers, ex-gamers, and non-gamers) 3. 60 (Attracts mostly casual gamers, and XBox/Microsoft fans) ===-------=== I find the PS3 rather impressive though, showing how the game would look. If they took innovation as equal as their ideas of evolution in systems, they would've beaten the console war.
Unless the ps3 has awesome online capabilities, Xbox 360 is going to own it in multiplayer, which is the only reason i play games. I personally get bored of most game's storylines, (halo, halo 2 etc)with the exception of some games i loved for the gamecube (tales of symphonia that game was the sex) I will probally get a revolution and 360
microsoft is mostly concentrated on beating sony on market rather then making xbox360 and its customers, why do you think that xbox360 has many bug problem? such as -heating up xbox360 for playing more then 5 hours -game freezes momentarily during gameplay (pgr3) -xbox live crashing several times in a row -some people got their xbox messed up where their drivers are messed. Sony has been trying to get our attention by showing a good presentation, alot of impressive trailors, and spec details. while microsoft is busy telling people that sony sucks and has no chance of winning.
Xbox 360 is a next-generation system because it is the next generation of Xbox. In order to see the quality of an Xbox 360 you must play a full game on an HDTV with 5.1 Surround Sound. I wasn't happy with the look of CoD2 on the Xbox 360 when I saw the in-store demo, but I bought my system, took it home and loved it! The sound, the graphics... I agree that it looks the same as a top quality PC at this time but it's just a matter of time before programmers and developers grasp hold the power of the system. The same will happen on PS3, games won't look near as good at launch as they will later on in the systems life; it happened with the PS2 and Xbox. The problem with the new processor chip inside the PS3 is that the technology is so new. Developers have a huge learning curve ahead of them in order to create games for the system. Like someone said earlier, games that are released cross-console may take a bit longer to come out on the PS3 for this reason initially. I was reading about the fps for the PS3 earlier today, or what they were saying is possible. Read about it at Gamespot that the PS3 will be able to run 120 fps. I agree with you on what people are saying on the controller. It may not be the most pleasing to the eye, but there is reasoning behind the design.

okay, xbox360 is a next gen system but what i meant by PURE gen is that there is nothing new or special then an upgrade of a processor and graphics, i say that ps3 is a pure next gen console because of its new never been seen processor that developers as you said has hard time making games, doesn't that make it special? B) but who knows what ps3 games will looks like unless we see it or play it. So i guess it is a bit early to say what is better or which is not because there is not "best"
Fair enough Ahh well, each system has pros for me. Mostly in the choices of games, I can't wait for some of the hot titles! UGH!
cant u stop talking about prerendered movies! if u have seen the mgs4 trailer for the ps3 , it even tells u by its self "no prerenders texture" or something like that and the xbox360 was released so early , it wasnt ready to be released , heres a sad video of a xbox crashing in the middle of the game and even being very awfully bright:- http://www.youtube.com/watch.php?v=0z78h7y...ch=xbox%20crash and also the ps3 WILL have online playing , i've seen some trailers for multiplayer games , and if you go to www.ps3land.com you will see this in the faq:- and i think i've read somewhere we will be able to surf the internet , not sure
oh and by the way , you were all talking about how great the xbox is with its xbox live and blah blah blah , will i am reading the ps3 gamespot review and it says this in it:- i mean comeon , thats amazing! and am sure that its online gaming system will be even greater check the review at:- http://www.gamespot.com/news/2005/05/16/news_6124681.html
It's pretty obvious that PS3 will be more powerful than Xbox360, that doesn't inherently mean that the games released on PS3 will be graphical wonders compared to the ones released on Xbox360. But I won't buy the Xbox360, the news about overheating and buggy 360's definately made sure I'm not getting one anytime soon. I'm more interested in PS3 and Revolution. I remember how all the Xbox2 (that's what everybody called it back then) fanboys kept saying that it would become the most powerful next-gen console and how much it was going to whoop PS3: "lololol M$ will pwn sony u n00bs!!!!!1111" Then as the info about both consoles were being released during E3, and it became obvious that PS3 was the more powerful system and the games looked better, the same people started saying: "OMG ps3 only is showing pre-renders lolol xbox360 will pwn!!!!11!1!!" And after a while they tried to convince everybody else about this: "M$ showd alpha kits of 360!!!!!! teh real 360 will be alot more powerfull lol!!!!!" Disclaimer: The abuse of exclamation marks and spelling words wrong is my way to show the general stupidity of fanboys. I used the Microsoft fanboys as an example since it were so fecking obvious during E3.
am not saying the xbox360 isnt good , its good , but not close to the ps3 , the ps3 in the new generation of gaming , for more cool game trailers for ps3 go to wwww.gametrailers.com , and if u rlly like the ps3 you must read the review at http://www.gamespot.com/news/2005/05/16/news_6124681.html ,
