I like WC3 for it's mindlessness but I think 40K is the superior game. Most of that is because one is brand new while the other is 2.5 years old (or thereabouts). One thing I really dislike about 40K is map movement. I can't select a unit then right click on the minimap and choose a target like nearly every other RTS out there. THat really frustrates me.

I also like longer games and most WC3 games are over in less than 8 min cause if the first rush fails then the counter rush wipes them out. I prefer custom games for WC3. 40K really captures squad combat well though. I want an expansion for all the races now. Bring on the Devilfish.

I made a smiliar 'purchase' and the game rocks. I also am waiting for an update for all the armies though.

Think the requisition resource adds to the idea of the game aswell, none of that collecting rock cr*p

I like how requisition allows you to focus on other things. No little robots/workers scuttling to/from fields/mines/whatever. It also lends itself to focal points for battles. The whole idea of hit and run doesn't really work, you need to stay and then reinforce.

WC3 is old, no doubt, and is still fun occaisionally but 40K is a new benchmark (in my mind) for graphics and capabilities.
