Want To Make Admin

okie i just bought a cs 1.6 server , it has admin mod , i am an admin , i wanted to make my friend an admin in the server , i asked the guy who sold me the server how do i do that , he said to add his steam id to users.ini with the access level
will i did that , and hes not an admin
can anyone plz tell me how ?

 

Before he enters his own server ur need to identify ur self -

admin_password blahblah

setinfo _pw-pass "password"

if i remember it right, they should do the trick.

(the first one needs to be used when in-server)

 

but how do i set his password?

oh and why dont i need to do admin_pass?

 

u see , i am supposed to have this in my users.ini:-
usernameassword:accesslevel

the username can either be a player name , or steam id , or wonid , or ip , the password can be left blank incase i want the server to reconize the player by his steam id , so anyway , the first line in my users.ini is for making ME an admin , and it works fine , but when i added a other line for my friend , the server doesnt make him an admin

see this is my users.ini:-
STEAM_0:0:3995448::131071
STEAM_0:1:4527841::131071

the first line has my steam id , and it works fine i am an admin
second one is for my friend and when he enters my server with his steam account , hes not an admin

 

What CS mod are you using on your server? Admin mod? AMX mod?

 

Before he enters the server he should write in console like Seith said:
setinfo _pw-pass "password"

 

i am using admin mod not amx mod

and wat if there is no password set?
just the steam id
it works for me but not for the other steam ids

 

My oppion is, dump adminmod and go with amxx. It makes things a bit simpler.

theres a user. ini file in ur dedicated server folderm, find it buut his steam id in , and his access level

 

u think i havent allready thought about using amxx?
i hate admin mod , they make it so complicated to do things
ive ben wanting to install amx mod x in my server since i bought it , but my lame host provider says "NO YOUR NOT!" cuz he says it takes space and there are allready lots of space used in my server's ftp , while him the idiot allready has tons of mods uploaded in the ftp wich arent even activated , i mean its like am getting the server for free! am paying him for god's sake

anyway i am running the amx mod x auto installer and its taking a hell lot of time!!!
hope he doesnt close my server for this , if amx works fine , ill just delete admin mod and some other useless mods

 

oh this is really annoying . i access my server's files from the ftp , and when ever i try to install a mod , i upload files and blah blah blah . and when i go to my server , its like ive done nothing , i tried to do admin_reload and nothing!
