Thousands of people, make brush packs for signatures on da? Excuse me, you'll be lucky if you can come across 100 of them, signature makers are the only people putting brush packs on DA and sigmakers are the only ones downloading them. Sigmakers kiss sigmakers asses, thats a fact, the artists on DA don't give you all the time of day. Sigs can't express feeling, its that simple. you just refuse to accept that fact. You think some random brush splatters and a game render can express something other then "look what I can rip and put together" Sorry little kiddo, no matter how hard you try, you just prove my point over and over, why else do you think ART schools don't give a ---- about sigs? Whats that? Ohh, because they're not art. GAME, SET and MATCH.
See WHY THE HELL! Why do you struggle to comprehend this, you dont give a **** about what people say. You dont listen to what im telling you, all you do is bring back up the same argument. ART is what you make it, so ya know what... I cant give a F*** about what you think it is...because all the best artisits, the real ones according to you, arts what you make it, what you care about. Your so called real artists will tell you that. Youre all alone Sushi, in a mass losing battle against the whole art world... Game, Set...Match
i for one have a BROAD knowledge on many different kinds of "digital arts", including 3D modelling, web design, flash animation, inking, drawing, painting....and i would never consider "sig making" a form of art. I make sigs, and good ones at that, but i still dont consider them as being a true form of art. Art is something original, not taking SOMEONE ELSES BRUSHES and SOMEONE ELSES RENDERS, and sticking em on top of a rectangle and making a sig. Art is something like creating a unique webdesign, or making a unique 3D model. Sigs are not art, and im not jsut saying that because i cant make sigs, because i can make sigs, I just choose not to make them any more because they are a waste of time. Still think i dont know what im talking about? Visit my website www.yusuf-osman.com and tell me thats less impressive than a 10 minute sig.
Yay another person who thinks their opinion ir right! Well ya know what? Go to DA, go to the digital art section and tell me using someone elses brushes isnt art. Stop defining it...you dont have the right
Well maybe you should become like myself or some other members on this forum who make signatures from nothing but photoshop. Well sh i t, you look like a f u cking retard there. Please go make an art picture while not using someone elses stuff. Paint: Bought from a store. Who made the paint? The company that makes the paint. Therefore was it originally you'res? Did you go on an expedition to find all the types of ingredients needed for paint to create it? No, so it isnt you'res. You make 3d models, use photoshop, and use flash. Did you originally code the file to create photoshop, flash and the 3d model program? Did you invent the computer? EVERYTHING comes from someone elses previous work. Please use a f u cking brain.
You've defined sigs as art, uh oh, looks like you are contradicting yourself now. DA is a place for artists, hence the name deviantART, its not deviantsigs, sigs aren't art, if the art world considered a signature to be a piece of art, then DA would have a category for it, but alas, they do not. You refuse to look at this objectively, a signature evokes no feeling, you look at it, you see brushes splattered on a 400x100, with someone elses image and a sad attempt at typo. So where the emotion, wheres the feeling, what am I suppossed to feel or see besides some brushes and an image? Nothing, because you sigmakers take nothing into account except, "wow, I bet they'll think this looks the pwnage." Signatures are nothing more then a fingerprint on a forum board. @Mencer Stop generalizing, you make yourself look stupid trying to defend something as petty as signatures.
Sushi... Digital art is a section on DA... Digital "ART" So, in there we have what? Photo manipulations...with downloaded brushes, we have wallpapers and splashes, with downloaded brushes...we have 3D projects, with downloaded brushes...and we have sigs, with downloaded brushes Once again, ill say it...Digital ART
You noticed they broke the digital art category into sections correct? Do you see a signature section? No, get over it, you can't win, why else do you think nobody but sigmakers comment on your sigs posted at DA? Bcause nobody but sigmakers give a ---- about sigs, artists have better things to do then look at a ripped image slapped over some brushes. Once again, i'll say it...Sigs are not art, now move along.
Umm wow you guys are ----ing idiots...excuse me for cursing but its your decision suishi to tell everyone what art is. there is no exact definition of art and there will never be one. its what the viewer sees and feels. and i also think its even sadder that ur going around asking people all this crap over a stupid topic on one website. the people here also got you in a lot of points. sigs arent big or anything but it is art whether u think it is or not. everything around u is art. i dont get why u have to post all this crap to prove nothing
I lost did I? So how come over a million people agree with me? Oh, thats right, because sigs aren't art. You lost, get over it and move on. Oh and tell me, mr. "Artist'" do you use your signatures to try and get a job as a graphic designer, or to get into an art school? Oh, you don't do you, why not, you said they were art, so that must mean companies and art schools must not consider them art right?
wow sorry but all of those points are extremely pointLESS. You're going waaay to into it... and your overexagurating...alot. Its like saying, "i made a really nice lasagne" you dont expect the person to go kill an animal, get the beef, go get some milk, churn it and turn it into cream, get some flour (or whatever), and make all the layers of the lasagne from scratch...... sorry but your taking it way to literally. and your paint idea is pretty stupid, who the hell goes and makes there own paint? Im pretty sure picasso didnt go make his own paint. even if he did, do you expect the other millions of painters to make their own paint? no
