scrap WOW and get halo on vista lol My dad has a new desktop with vista on. He has upgraded to 3gb of RAM to memory is not an issue any more. photoshop runs fine. There is going to be a new dreamweaver coming out in the coming months for vista users.
I'm waiting for decent vista drivers... I just won 2GB RAM so that brings me to 4GB so I'm not worried about having too little RAM. just need good 64 bit drivers...

[snapback]3653865[/snapback][/b][/quote] fair enough... but that's only because it loads common programs into memory -------automatically based off fo your usage paterns... you can do that in XP by having the program startup with windows... big f'ing wow... but the real question is... how well do programs perform once open? http://www.tomshardware.com/2007/01/29/xp-...ista/page3.html fairly decent system (would cost around 3k if bought from the likes of Dell or around 1.5-2K if DIY)... 2GB RAM, 1000$ CPU fairly highend graphics card.(and the ones that are mreo powerful more or less don't work in vista due to ---- drivers...) vista has a better API but programs A aren't optimized for it B vista needs time for the drivers to mature(badly, especially on the nVidia side where good drivers were the big thing they had goign for them under XP) C users typically need more RAM to make up for vista's agressive memory caching... the typical user doesn't run 2-4GB and up. ehh... I got 4GB though(I just won a contest... so i got a 2GB micron d9GCT RAM kit from Teamgroup[prominent overclocking brand for FREE and am unpatiently awaiting delivery)
