Vista Boot Problem

    i installed vista and it worked fine then i turned of my computer then when i turned it on again what happen was it loaded then a black screen caME up with colors on the bottom i loaded it on safe maode it worked fine but on normal it wouldnt does anyone know whats up

    Never buy an OS right when it comes out. It's guaranteed to be full of bugs. Like xelink said, repair option or just install it again.

    i did do the repair option it was taking too long so i stopped it i waited for 1 hour and it didnt do anything so i canceled it

    Dont post off topic please.

    I suggest doing an FDISK command (with a bootable floppy or disk, get it from a friend off the net), then telling me your system specs. Acctually, other way around, specs, then FDISK. Expect ALL data to be erased with the FDISK, on a single partition. THEN, re-installing vista. If you're on an AMD machine, turn 'Cool and Quiet' off.

    Yeah, I got that too. I think its because its our graphics that cannot support DirectX9.

    yes i heard about this vista isnt CONFIRMED to run certain programs yet and stuff so i guess you should just wait until a pc comes out with VISTAS installed already. ;)

    Yeah, I heard Vistas been doing that.
    My dad had to reinstall it.
