Do what you will, but when i heard it on the news, i just heard "shoot out in american school" Nothing new eh? and i went "giggaity". Now i feel kinda bad, plus i got such a shouting at from my elders telling me i have no emotions and should care about other people. but i actually do lack most emotions thanks to my childhood... but thats a story for another day
Apathy is one of a very big problem we have in society, Shawn. Don't let it get to you. People aren't going to care in other countries unless it happens to them. A little self-centered if I say so myself. It's important to at least keep humans (which we all are, by the way, you're nothing more than human) alive on this earth. Kind of sad to think that even with 50+ people dead/injured/in critical condition that people do not even take a second to care.... *sighs*
Agreed, -rep for that person. And yes, the shooter is now dead, although it is undetermined if he shot himself or if the police got to him. On a side note, I have a very good friend of mine that goes there that I have not been able to get a hold of recently. Getting kind of worried. As everyone else has stated, my condolences go out to the families and loved ones of the students/faculty involved in this incident.
Yeah I was saying that part where he says "Americas Fault" was offensive. And the part not my problem, well it doesn't effect me in any way but I can still feel for the families that had lost loved ones today!
Yup, he's taking classes for mechanical/civil engineering. I'm not sure if it was on his class schedule today or not. I'm trying to get a hold of his family now to find out what is going on.
Grew up together, in the Navy together... He just recently got out. So, pretty close I would say. I'm staying optomistic about the whole thing though. He's a smart cookie, and I'm sure he would have done anything possible to avoid the incident.
I heard it was a machine gun, not a handgun. Apparently he went over to one of the dorms and shot one person there, then dissapeared. All the police were there and thought they had the situation under control while he went into a classroom and shot it up.
