Video Game Based Movies?

Has anyone here seen any of these yet? Movies that are actual scenes from video games? I guess you have to be a fan of the series to truly appreciate them, I have only seen Jak X so far (I love the Jak series, especially Jak 2) has anyone seen any of these movies before? If you don't know what I'm talking about just goto jakxdvd.com to see. I am interesting in seeing more movies like this though.

 

i can only think of a handful of games it would be cool for. But games with really good storylines (ie: Silent Hill series, and the Halo based books) would make good regular movies

 

i hear their making a movie of halo when halo 3 is released

 

Theres talks of a Dead or Alive movie, actually there is a trailer, and Tekken and and new Mortal Kombat movie. Thats all I can think of....

Halo - We all know its gonna happen lol
Splinter cell - Heard something about that
Hitman - Same as splinter cell

Yeh doom was a huge failure i though. But you've got movies like halo that are hopefully coming out soon so hopefully that'll be good. Ow just remeber street fighter the movie....awful movie lol

 

I think he means using the video game engine to make a movie. Not basing a movie off a video game.

 

I think that cideo games based on movies are pretty good I mean llok at silent hill and resident evil.

Yeah, the Doom movie sucked horribly, they better do better on the other game movies!

 

Don't you think that the halo movie would be like the doom movie which was a total failure... and hope silent hill would be as good as resident evil... maybe better ayt??
