Well of got some clips of my mates doing backflips etc, and ive seen in some videos they reverse it so instead of looking like the person jumps off something and backfilps, it looks like the person starts on the ground and backflips onto the object.

So basiclly just reversing a clip

So id like a FREE piece of software/link on how to do this, thanks

    Is your computer Windows XP?
If so, it should come with a useful little app. called Windows Movie Maker.

I've never reversed clips in Movie Maker, but it's really user friendly and I got some pretty good effects with it when I was messing around with it, so I'm pretty sure it will have an option to reverse a clip.

There are some useful tutorials around for Movie Maker, check websites like YouTube for video tutorials and Google for normal ones.

    Hope this helped! ;)

Hmm, ok don't worry, just try this method anyway.
Spent quite a while trying to find an answer to this as I had some free time and I came up with this link.

Hope it works for you! :)

Firstly (as step 1 says) you have to import the file into VirtualDub and convert it into a non-compressed AVI file.

Next, I made the file (as in step 2) for you:
    http://viraj.info/mymovie.avs
Right Click the link and then click 'Save Link As' or 'Save Target As'

Download this file to the same folder as the video clip you want to reverse is in.

Now open VirtualDub, and open this file using it.
Now, you want to save this file in AVI format (it was previously in AVS format) so in VirtualDub, go to File >>> Save As, and save it as: "mymovie_reverse.avi"

Now you have a reversed version of your video clip so you can do as you like with it :)

Hope this is a little clearer.
