    I have a dell dimension 3000 PC.

    3.0GHz Intel Celeron D Processor (800MHz FSB - 512MB Cache)
    512MB Dual Channel SDRam
Intel Extreme GFX 2 (64MB Integrated)

I'm looking at 128MB Graphics cards but I really have no idea what I need.

My friend says newer computers have AGP slots, but how do I check?

What company would you reccommend I purchase from?

Also, any product reccommendations are welcome.

    Thanks.

i recommend getting an ati graphics card. if you want one of their best ones get the 800 or around it. they make a ton of graphics cards. the 800 will cost about 400 U.S.D but its well worth it, thats what i have and i can play any game made.

I saw a few prices that caught my eye. I found a .. 128MB ATi GFX AGP card for like.. $60

I don't really wanna pay anything over $100.

yea sure it will work for you , IF YOU WANNA PLAY ****ING MARIO!

i dont think u should expect anything good for less than $100 , u should wait untill u have enough money to get something decent

you should get any of the following:-
    eVGA GeForce 6800 GT - $274

    Leadtek GeForce 6800 - $207.99

these are the cheapest i've found , cuz u dont seem like a person who likes to spend money

ATI sux get a GeForce 6200 OC with 256MB for 154 bucks

Ps to see u have a AGP slot take off cover of computer and look for card shots alot will be white and 1 or 2 brown 1's look closer at that brown 1 it will say AGP or PCI Express

if u have a PCI Express shot get a PCI Express Card (they are better then AGP )

    quadratics , what resolution ? 320x180 ? seriousely !
the best card out there is the 7800GTX 512MB . who cares if its 128 or 64 megs, 64 megs CAN beat 128 meg cards , its not the memory that tells the performance... in the 100 bucks range u should get a 6600GT .. leadtek or bfg .. theres plenty of them making that card . make sure its not a LE or something else.
