I preferr IPB over VB. The one year license for IPB is $149.99, It;s a lot of money :P The mods are pretty simple to install. You can get free skins on centain forums. It's really flexiable.

VBulletin is a bit more expensive. The owners license is $160,- or you can rent if for 1 year for 85 dollars.

With my expierence with both boards, I suggest IPB. It's easy.

But the choice is up to you

(prices are from the official sites :) )

To install mods on IPB is a pain ... Ive used both and have to say VB's plugin system & just editing the skin template is easier than editing the xml/php files of the mods for ipb

I have bought a VB license [Owned] one for $160 - I can use it wherever and whenever - Lasts for a year but it has a renewal of $30 instead of paying $80 odd again

    LOL

IPS changed the prices haha - $149.99 for a standard license WTF! haha

Only thing i dont like is the ACP on VB besides that everything is perfect - Alot of mods, styles & functionality with VB

I like IPB ACP - Has quite a few mods but isnt as flexible as VB is in installing mods and that stuff

vB is so so much better. Seriously, IPB is absolute ----e compared to it. It is so easy to skin and code, I taught myself straight away. I'm not sure about the mods...but I got my copy for $180, which I will sell for $120 if you're interested (latest version). You have so many more options for posting, you can do bullet points, indents etc.

    vB ftw :D

What are you talking about lol..all you have to do is upload files and than run the product to install a mod and add the link to the navigation bar...

in IPB you have to completely code it into the forum...thats no fun
