Unfortuntely i can't edit that sig in any way now as I forgot to save it in any kind of editable form, bit stupid.

    Other news though,

Made in about 30min about an hour ago when I realised I had nothing better to do. Need to make the font a bit more visible, though.

    EDIT

Just sorted the font out, not as dark as I'd like it, but it seems to work to me.

I was taking a look at the scanlines for some of the other sigs I've made and the sig does look better if I turn the opacity down a bit. But the scanlines only appear depending on the context of the sig.

you seem to be new to sig-making, so here are some general

#1: ALWAYS save your signatures both as .psd files and .jpg/.png files, that way you can show them, but still edit all elements later
#2: try to keep some of the original colors from the render, that way you'll get less monotone sigs
#3: don't use too much big borders, just go with a simple black or white border so that it won't take too much attention away from sig
#4: it's lame to say, but read some more tutorials, they really help, also: practice

Keep an eye out for a tut named Sparkle Slash Tut on planetrenders.net, REALLY helped me. Sigs look alright, but don't 1-color em. And yeah, 1px borders.

I can see that you improving . The backgrounds seempretty simple looking ( Could do with nice brushes or using some stocks). Your renders seem very Low quailty due to the fact there over blended. ( Advice: The render is a very important part of your sig as draws the focal , so try to make people focas on that then work the background around it). Text is too big and doesnt do you no favours.

From seeing your latest the blue one, it seems to me like you making the sig then editing with the hue/saturation or color balance. Using this is good for single layers but not for your complete signature.

Overall : Big improvments, Just follow a few tutorials and keep us posted.

Im hoping this is sorta what you're talking about. Btw it has a 1px blended border.

Face is a bit bright, but I can't figure out a way to emphasisze the wings without brightening the face at the same time without cutting the face out.

Major Improvment. The focal is now set. Good job. Just work with your text. Blending but not too much. Really is a great adjustment well done.

Just look into a few tuts.

I've been messing with the text for a bit now, so hopefully it's a little bit better now.

Just looks like you lowered the size. Text doesnt the need the effect (Bevel and emboss i think you used), keep it neat and simple.

Bevel and emboss removed, all the text has is a drop shadow to make it readable, a colour overlay to give a colour that matches that of the background and an inner shadow to darken it slightly.

Your getting there, nice to see you editing and taking critic. For a beginner you have potential, keep us posted with your next designs.

Browse some tutorials and play around. I dont really spend too much time on text i just keep it simple myself.
