Bah, get a 939 Athlon 3800+ atleast, that should keep for a while to come And try to get an Asus mobo (or Asrock etc) Another thing that PSU is week. 115/230 V?? Atleast a 400 range W but then again that'll suite for slighter higher end machine than the one u gave out links for. imo up the processor definitely - and then the PSU
I don't know your exact budget, but here are my recommendations. Athlon 64 3000+ Venice [phasing out, get it while you can] ASRock 939-DualSATA2 [great budget board, AGP and PCIe] eVGA 6600GT PCI-Express [better than the X800GTO, same price] Fortron 450W PSU [don't skimp on the PSU, but this is a good one] http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16817104954 All of them can be found on Newegg. I included the PSU b/c most people don't know what it is.
This is a secondary pc to go in another room, Im just upgrading this dell piece of crap computer in the den because I was tired of it being so slow and not being able to play games. My real computer has 7800 GTX in sli mode and a X-2 4800+ and 4 gigs of ram which I refuse to take to a lan party this is just a cheap computer Im upgrading with some spare money that I got for my birthday is all.
