    I got the preview update for facebook and twitter on xbox live. Ive never used twitter before so i decided to see what it was since i now have it on my xbox. and im still clueless about what exactly twitter is/does.

    ive googled it and all i can find on it, is that its a social networking site... thats great but whats the difference between this and facebook?

    can anyone sum up twitter for me?

    The popular people always link to blogs with relevant information. I used to use mine, but it's got my maiden name on it for one, and for two it was fairly useless in my hands. I didn't really see the point. It's pretty much Facebook without every single feature except status updates.

    I use mine for sharing news, links, etc etc. 99% of people using it now just write about random sh!t that no one cares about, but back a few years ago when it was pretty unheard of, a lot of graphic designers/web designers/developers were using it for this purpose. It's one of those things that was good right up until people heard about it.

    Its like met telling the world I just pick my nose and I have to tell everyone. I understand it when it comes to celbs using it, as they keep you updated on what movie they are shooting, or what album they are working on. I never know it would be this popular when I first heard about close to 2 years ago..
