This whole tutorial trend is stupid. So many people are making Tutorial Shops and not making the tutorials for the people. You say that people have lives outside of GR and they might be busy. Congratualtions for them, if you are busy why start the tutorial shop? There have been so many problems with this lately. Things like "I have been waiting a week" for my tutorial and still haven't gotten it, etc. Like I said before, if you open up a topic to start tutorial selling you have to be dedicated to it, it shouldn't take a week to do it. Tutorials take about 2 hours tops. I wrote a 72 layer tutorial in an hour and a half. These tutorial shops are getting ridiculous.

    I agree!
Thats why I stopped my IPB shop. At least I know when to end it not keep it open and keep taking creds and never give anyone anything back.

there was 1 issue about it that I saw. People who are busy shouldnt write tutorials, but they should be ablt to open their own shop, just specify a limit of tutorials at a time and duration to write the tutorial.

    1000th post

wow. this is definatly cause of the whole mist situation..

anyways, the only reasonable fix is if the tut shops make it so that everyday past the limit of time they had is a 10 cred discount.

This relates to my issue with authority eh? ^^
People open tutorial shops because they want to earn credits right?

And you say it should take 2 hours; well thats what it does take once you've started it. It only takes a week to actually start work on the tutorial but thats if only you're busy. I've never had a complaint before except for this authority guy and once by xbox (But it wasn't a complaint more of a notification that he was waiting) and when things like that happen i discount customers if its its taken TOO long.

And sometimes you might recieve them late at night like 11:00pm and its not exactly like you're going to do it then. And people on this forum live all around the world So there is time differences aswell.
You can't always expect them to be done straightaway but i do agree that it shouldn't take over a week and with my case with authority it did. Because of personal matters EG coursework and family etc.
Yes, of course you must be dedicated but your life can't revolve around it.

    Drop it F*cker.

This isn't because of Mist. This has happened WAY before him different people. I just thought of all this stuff when I read that post, not directing it to anyone in personal.

the only reason why people make tutorial shops is so that they can look at peoples psds for free AND make some creds off of it

id say whoever started this is smart

Yeah but they also help that person gain the money back if that person decides to sell it.

Just quit the fighting, I myself don't support tutorial shops for other reasons. I believe if you are going to make a shop like that, you need to be fairly commited and dedicated to provide the service in a fast time.. tutorial shops are not easy to do. Like any business, you can't keep holding up the customers unless you want it to fail.

But I raise one question to JaeTM, what do you think should be done about this situation? From what I read, all you talk about is how the whole tutorial trend is stupid and ridiculous... instead of what you would like to be done and putting suggestions to the problem.

    My 2 cents,
    Snipe. ;)
