if the 2/3 goes then there should be no set max amount of $ for each 1k creds.

*also, i too have donated lots of things, the majority of things aren't creds, but its still more than what others do. Also, if GR started all over, i'd still be here.

Wait so what will new people do to gain credits if the posting-for-credits is turned off?

Yea, I have to agree, if they gonna took 2/3 of our credits away then that will be really sucky. First we have to work hard for the credits, and then they will be taken away from us..ooh comeone ..sounds a bit unfair as for me..

We wont be taking away anyways credits as yes, that would be entirely unfair, especially to those who have purchased credits. We will however be looking into alternate means of reducing the amount of credits in circulation.

You guys seriously lack a lot of common sense. You realize that less overall quantity means greater single value? You buy 1000 credits for 5. All credits in the system are reduce to 1/3 the origional value, being 333 credits, it would still be worth $5 because the overall ratio of yoru current credits to the overall amount of credits currently in the system is the same.

However, as I have said before, the majority of this sites members would probably be too slow and / or ignorant to lower the prices, and some people would still pay the outrageous 2-2.5k credits for everyday signatures.

People who sell credits too wouldn't be jipped at all, all credit values would go up, and all credit quantities would go down, I fail to see how any of this is at a deficit to anyone, with the exception of the few people who will still charge outrageously. If people do that, then just don't bid and they will be forced to lower the price.

I have already mentioned other ways of doing this, but none of them will result in any form of an immediate change such as lowering EVERYONEs current credits by a set percentage. We removed nearly 1 million credits from the system.... and it did nothing. No one even realized the credits were gone, in fact, the credit ratio to USD went UP from what it was at, even with 1/4 of the credits out of the system.

less credits will mean they are worth more.

if we take 2/3 of 300 you would have 100.

the 100 would be worth the same as the 300 but alot easier to get.

they arent trying to rip anyone off just reduce the credits in circulation therefore increasing there value.

Its the same in the world the less of a substance there is the higher its cost.

it would be just as fair for the people who bought credits as everything would be worth the same amount except the vale of the credits would go up. In basic terms instead of:

    this is not to scale
    300 credits = $1 it is now 100 credits = $3

it will make the worth of the credits more but you will have less

So if you're saying the 300 you once had would be the same worth as the 100, why bother taking the credits in the first place? Nothing will change other than the number of them. If they're worth the same, tags that go for 3k will go for 1k, which still amounts to 3k, so I fail to see a point in sapping everybody in the first place.

People won't drop their prices very easily in the first place anyways. Some will be ignorant and those even more ignorant will pay the absurd amount, which will increase them again.

Because 3k is an impossible number to get for a person who cant sell stuff.

sure i can earn that in a day but a new person would have to get 3000 posts before he could.

it is benificial to the community.

also if it is exactly the same dew why object?

Agreed, turn off credits for posting.

Those who say it wont make a difference are wrong, on the basis that most pople don't post in areas to get credits, its more as a whole those who do, feed the onse who don't turning it off will stop the cycle and the value will eventually decrease.
