Im new to making renders, and I dont know how to get a transparent background on your render -_-. I use photoshop cs2, and any help on how to make a transparent background would be greatly appreciated  .
I tryed rendering for my first time, and this is what I got. Its still not transparent, even though I saved it as a .png file. I know its really bad, but I just want to know how to make it transparent before I can do a really clean cut. http://s77.photobucket.com/albums/j66/andr...mgAnch=imgAnch1
Hm not sure works for me, sorry usualy if its transparent the background is blueish behind the render in ie, and it looks transparent in firefox.
I don't think im doing it right. I used the polygonal lasso tool, and went around the edges, then pressed delete when the lines mett.
I'm just going around the edges with polygonal lasso tool, thats all. I'm sure im doing it way wrong.
your sure the parts are deleted when you cut them out, right? You should see the checkerboard design meaning those areas are nothing. Your probably working on a locked background layer. Either, Double click the background layer to bring up its settings then hit okay. Or duplicate the background layer then delete the original. Also, make sure your in RGB mode, image > mode > RGB After that, save as PNG. Anything with the checkerboard design will be transparent in the final output.
Yeah, thats what I was doing wrong. I wasn't dublicating and deleteing the layer. Thanks everyone for all your help
