hi GR & members, i have a problem, "Thumbs.dll" keep appearing everywhere...my pictures/documents etc. i delete them and they just keep coming back <_< please help thanks in advance
appearing, as in a file, or as in a popup menu? might be malicous spyware or a virus, check for those.
It is just a cache, or something like that, of your thumbnails in that folder. Like.. if you have your icons set to be thumbnails, etc. It is nothing to worry about. Normally, they are hidden files, but in your case you must have disabled file-hiding or something. To make them hidden, do.. Start>Control Panel>(Make it Classic View if you haven't already)Folder Options>View>check the box that says "Do Not Cache Thumbnails" Now you can do a search of your computer via Start>Search>All Files and Folders and search for thumbs.db EDIT: Oh yeah, are you talking about thumbs.db and not thumbs.dll? If it is thumbs.dll, I have never heard of them and you may have a problem..
