removing creds will remove members, all the people that have worked hard to get creds will leave.
and people will move on to more forums that have a credit system.

If people really really don't want to get rid of credits then atleast clean it by making rules restricting selling of real life items for credits, or buying credits with $$$ and no selling tutorials tahts just stupid and selfish as hell... You wanna make credits open a shop and earn them the right way... Instead of just getting ur daddys credit card # and buying like 20,000 credits.

capitalism inspires people to do good work. I saw a recommendation that we submit all tutorials to the admins and they'll pay us based on how good they are? what kind of motivation is there to do that?

example: lucky kevin has sold about 60 copies of his tutorial to 60 very happy customers at 150 credits per. thats 9,000 credits he made on that tutorial, as opposed to the 800 he might make with the new system.

you complain that the max has gone from 20k to 40k. I see people that are good at making and selling tutorials, sigs, c3d stuff, etc. they buy low, sell high, and are active members of the community. thats whats important here. the credit system is supposed to make people particpate in discussions, rate each others' work, compete in battles, etc.

for all of you that claim you can't make any credits, why don't you try going into the "your stuff" section once a day and providing honest, real critiques of the work people do. you can make decent money that way, and as long as you write something thoughtful, you're not spamming. plus, you're giving advice to other people, or encouraging them, and thats really what we need if you want to "get all the pros back." stop whining and go help make people better at photoshop.

your one good point was bringing back the contests. what happened to sig of the week? it seems like sig of the month these days. we should have 2 threads per week. a voting thread (oops, we don't get to do that anymore) and a submission thread for the next week. they all last exactly a week, and if you can't deal with that, enter the next contest.

before all the people that came in 2005 it was sooo much better everyone was friendly and everything was a whole up better.

Mr Cheeky & Lamaman was the centre of this great comunity with Mr cheeky with his drug abuse and humur and Lamaman with his..well simple polices.

Then i remeber we had this homosexual guy who did the best out of this world renders that were each worth 40 -rep seriosly.

so what is he was homosexual everyone said, he was an awesome guy.

now everytime i come to this place i hear no respect for the people who built and promoted gamerenders from its very foundation.

i used to post on the forum 20 times a day, you can check on that.

Um take a look this is what a credit whore supporter looks like! You know things are getting out of hand when the ----ing credit system on a forum is refered to as a... as a... damit i'm drawing a blank on what i was gonna say... lol Oh well some of you may know what i was trying to say... How is charging people for a tutorial going to help everyone? not everyone is going to want to buy it, and how are the people that really need them... the newbies going to get them? Tut selling is uber selfish and retarded and should be stopped...

 

Just cos you cant make a good sig/tut to sell, shut up just leave it the way it is, get over it the credit system keeps alot of people here, i myself dont care too much about credits but i do buy tutorials.

 

I know of people who post there tuts free on Chaos then sell or other people sell them here... Also who cares if members leave? the really cool poeple will all stay because they stay for the community not the credits... it will be all the credit whores and assholes that leave... and who gives a :censored: about them you know?

 

A while ago there was a thread open to see what we would do about credits. I made a suggestion about starting a 'lottery' type thing, where people could pay like 50 credits to get a 'ticket, aka number' and every few days there would be a drawing. All of the money that was spent on buying tickets would go to the pot, and half of that would be given to the winner, while the other half would be removed from the system. This would slow down some of the inflation.

Other Suggestions included removing a certian percent of everyones credits, say take the number of credits everyone has and divided that by 10. So if you had 100 credits, you would get 10, 1000, you would get 100 credits, and 10k you would get 1k. You get the idea. This would be fair because everyone would be losing the same amount. Although, it would be much easier to regian credits lost if you only had a little to start with.

There were other ideas such as charging credits to post a shop in shops & services or adding more items to the shop. If anyone has any good credit ideas, I'm sure they can be taken into consideration.

I remember that topic and ya that percentage thing isn't fair to the people with tons of credits i think thats what people were saying in that topic...
