This Site Is Just Not The Same...

I am simply speaking from my personal conversations with Blaze, what he has conversed with other members about is his own business and I cannot speak for those.

Also its not Shaggy's fault this is happening ...but if he tags charge of this site he can turn it around and make this one of the better sites again...just needs a new look..not skin but a new look with staff and how its set up..

 

The bottom line is this, Peanuts - if you don't like the way a community is being run, you leave. Don't bitch about it in a public forum while making personal attacks on those you see as the source of the problem. You're blaming Shaggy because some assholes joined up? Newsflash, kiddo: a mod or admin CANNOT be in every place at one time. If you have a problem with someone, report it. Sooner or later, a mod/admin will get to it.

You're blaming Shaggy for the site going down? What!?! The site went down for a few hours? Oh, my god! It's the end of the world because a site that I probably spend way too much time at to begin with went down for six hours! Let's make a post whining about it.

This is a forum. You're supposed to express your opinions the way you want as long as it doesn't violate the rules.

Unless of course GR no longer supports the viewing of opinions which I do not believe has has happened.

Newsflash to you as well asshole. I made a general statement. The site CONSTANTLY goes down, and that 's one of the main reasons I choose not to come here. Get your facts straight before you come after me. If you're going to join a thread that is all about bitching, then be prepared to get it from everyones perspective. And also, don't call me kiddo. I'm not your son, and I didn't get married, have a child, and risk my life for this country to still be referred to as a child...

If you guys are going to have a dispute, PLEASE do it via PM, we have 11 pages of regular discussion rather than infantile name calling and flaming and I am rather enjoying some of the conversation that is going on, dont ruin it for the rest of us please.

 

The site I go on has many people on it from other countries, it started out as being UK based. The mods also are from all over, and I'd say at any given point in time there are 1 to 5 mods online, even in the middle of the night here in the US. The vast majority of the mods are very well-known and respected and even before becoming a mod did a great deal to help around the site and were known as being very knowledgable in the area that they wound up being chosen to moderate. Sure, there are a few mods who are kind of unliked, but that's mostly because they are very no-nonsense and do not take any crap and are strict on enforcing rules. But you need to be, in order to moderate a site well, because letting someone get away with something will then get cries of "but they didn't get in trouble!" when someone else does it and DOES get in trouble. Most of the people are fine with contacting mods or the admin if they have any misgivings about other people on the site or another mod. Which is always a good thing because flamewars are sucky and annoying and no one wants to deal with them, though they always happen on occassion.
