You should try these IRC Clients:
    Chatzilla
    X-Chat

Maybe one will work for you. If not what error are you getting on mirc when entering the GR chat.

And street, yea, I guess I am on the whole day -_-

See that I find to be a bit silly and overkill. The site I go on is much larger and more active than GR - nearly 100k members and over 6.5 million posts. It has one admin, 6 global mods, and then 11 forum mods. Forum mods are the same as globals except they only have powers in certain forums (usually between 1 and four forums per mod, and all the globals are also forum mods), and they can't ban (only the admin and globals can do that). I am a forum mod in charge of four forums (two main ones and two subforums). I think there's maybe...two forums on the entire site that have more than one mod.

Having a lot of mods isn't always the answer. Having a fewer number who are more efficient at their job is always better.

@Rental -- so you hardly see mods on? That doesn't mean they're inactive. Number one, people here live in different time zones, all over the world. It's very very possible that they're on during times you're not. And as .Dementia said, there is a little option known as invisible mode, where you don't come up as being online.

you do realise u are completely wrong there. Im great friends with Blaze and i told him i wanted staff but he doesnt usually choose staff, the Head Mods/Admins do that, all he can do is recommend us to them then its up to the admins.

It's got nothing to do with that. No offence but Llama knew more about this site's content than you've shown. Yet again no offence because I still havn't seen much yet since you're still new.

I figured me spending $25 dollars entitles me to just as much of an opinion as anyone else. First, I'd like to know how old each of the mods/admins are. No offense, but the community is a wreck. People are getting away with crap left and right and the mods/admins just turn their cheeks. I thought rules were posted for a reason, and ever since I joined, people walk all over them. Who cares about IRC? There is an entire community here with THOUSANDS of members that mods and admins are supposed to be helping and observing. I think the only mod I have met here that actually gave a damn was Jay. Noone else even bothers to answer PMs. The site is always down, so there has to be a problem with the admins on this one. IF someone is going to take over a site, they at least need to keep the thing running. I've only made 600 posts since March of this year, and for the last month or so I have been inactive because this place has gotten so rediculous, it's not even worth visitng IMO. I know plenty of other communities (one of which I am taking over), where the mods and admins care for the members like their family. You just don't get that here. Everyone is so cut-throat and always bitching about one thing or another that visiting is pointless. My advice? Start all over... again. Hire somone a bit more responsible for the site. Maybe even someone who knows a bit more about what they hell they're getting themselves in to. And hire admins/mods who will treat their jobs like their meant to be treated. Granted it's an online community, but there are tons of people out there screaming for help that aren't getting it. Everyone who posted here saying that GR is going down the hole is 100% correct. I know if I could, I'd file a complaint with PayPal to get my $25 back....

lol I don't think people here could care less about BX right now at this very time in THIS topic. The site will get better Shaggy just needs to reformat the mods thats all.
Everything will be fine come summer the moderators shall have time and an income of members will appear because of people who have finished exams or school. It will all be worked out eventually and this site will prosper as it has through the years.

**COUGH*** Bull----! This place is over... too many bad people have ruined it. Server downtimes coupled with an overall bad attitude in most of the community is ruining it....

I was, and might have a chance of getting it back in the future, however, I'm 13 years old, BUT, many have said they would have thought I was 18+, it's not the age of the person that matters, it's the immaturity. If people were tested before the real thing, that would be better. It's what I did at BX.

Well, that was a ballsy move making this post. To be honest, it's running all right. You can't blame Shaggy for the members' attitudes. Is he just the common scapegoat now that Llamaman's gone?
