After talking to master AKW and exlink for 4 hours we have came up with this. ALL under 480 including shipping for me. What do you think? can you find anything cheaper with same power or better? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16819103633 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16813138027 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16814131007 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16820145566 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16817101513
If you wanted to save about 80 bucks you could get the S939 Athlon 64 3200 with mobo for 100 bucks on tigerdirect. Wait heres a 3500 http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/Se...MBM-MK8939-3500 edit: This is with rebate, so if you cant wait up it would be better to get what you have posted.
that is a viable option for a budget minded person. only thing he'd have to do is switch over to DDR1 ram... given the fact that is' 80$ less and economy is an issue I'd say go for it, sure the boards not quite as good and it's not as "future-proof" but it's only 60% the price for 99-105% of the performance...
lol. xelink made sure to tell me D's are very bad which was what i had. I wasnt expecting to get all this. lol. Anyway If i switch over it wouldnt have the same power so i dont think ill change that thanks for the advice tho
Celeron Ds... Pentium Ds are acceptable for the most part... well with OCing.. but... I'll dig up a good set of DDR1 ram off newegg to use with that combo jimbo found
hey what if i use my 512 ram from my dell? BTW im not poor or anything its just a bad time for me now. My dad just bought a business and we bought a new house at the same time. Anyway I need about 100 more bucks then i can order it so ill probibly have it in 2 or 3 weeks so i can order it in late july early aug.
you could reuse the 512mb strip if it's DDR(which it most likely is) but for most modern games 1GB+ is prefered. Battle field 2 is quite ram hungry, it 'forced' a lot of people to upgrade to 2GB also, in 2-3 weeks, that deal on tiger directmight not be there. http://www.newegg.com/Product/CustRatingRe...N82E16820227069 seems decent for the cost...
how many hard drives can i put in it? and how many ram thingys can i put in it? And i dont really wanna play BF2 its just so i can play other games later that require power

k thanks. This is what im getting most likely http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16813138027 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16814131007 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16817101513 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16820145538 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16819103633 I changed one part. Im ganna get 1 stick of ram the 512mb because i have another one in my dell desktop so i can use that i guess.
you most liekly won't be able to run the ram at 1T nor dual channel. performance hit shouldn't exceed 10% but... 10% performance hit because of a 7-8% price cut is stupid in my opinion, especially when you can still keep the single ram stick for other use
