Watched it 2 days ago. I never watched the newer Simpsons episodes so i really didn't know that Homer was such a dick and a retard. Back when i watched Simpsons, Homer did do stupid and retarded stuff but he atleast knew what the consenquences were and tried his best to repair them before they escalated to unimaginable proportions. But here? Nope. I mean yeah, he did have a "change of heart" at the end of the movie, but that's only when he ------ed up the whole Springfield and lost his family. I did laugh at few jokes here and there, but that's mostly because the audince in my theatre was laughing at everything and they would eat my ass if i didn't laugh with them. They even laughed when Homer was watching Marge's goodbye VHS, which was supposed to be the only sad moment in the movie!

All in all, i did enjoy the movie as a silly "put Homer in some dangerous ---- and watch him scream every 3 minutes" movie, but as a Simpson movie it dissapointed me.

    6/10

Uh have you ever seen The Simpsons before? Homer ALWAYS messes things up and normally never fixes them purposely, or atleast without assistance. Either by nearly causing nuclear meltdowns, several times, or flooding the city. He just always messes things up.

Also the VHS part wasn't the only sad moment in the movie. What about when Bart realizes how horrible Homer is, yet how loving Flanders is? What about when Lisa loses the Irish boy when he's stuck inside the bubble?

You said it yourself that you never really watched The Simpsons so you can't really judge too much on their personalities. It all carries over from the show. Homer being a bad, but loving father. Marge nagging constantly, but for the right reasons. Lisa being an environmentalist, but still a little girl. Bart being a troubled boy, but really just wanting to be loved. And Maggie being a baby, but always seems to save the day when it needs to be saved.

Alright, give me an example when Homer was a good father in the movie before the "big change of heart".

    And she's a monkey killer.

    It was poo!

Not that funny, Lack of good jokes.

Lack of minor characters, and Far to short for a movie.

All in All, I hope that is the last Simpsons thing ever! end it now Matt!
((God I hope they haven't ruined Futurama's movie or ill be so annoyed))

I'm not a simpsons viewer. Never watched them but have a friend that loves it.
I might see it just for the sakes of having watched the simpsons once.
