How would it do that ? Even if the Nintendo fanbase doubled because of people getting the Wii togheter with other consoles they would still be at about 40 million sales at the end of this generation wich is still only 1/5 of Playstation 2 sales. I don't think Nintendo will manage to up their sales with more then 500%.
Because, the PS3's exclusive games are being diluted out. Like how GTA 4 is going to the 360. Then you tack on a huge price tag, you get low sales. This means the Xbox is going to have a larger portion of the market share, but only taking away from the PS3 not the Wii (The 360 really couldn't handle the Wii only titles, unless it came out with a motion sensing controller) Then , as you said, Nintendo made the Wii pretty cheap, so its fanbase at least doubled. This makes the Wii win.
Think about it PS3 don't ship another load out for a while so theres will be going slow and they sold 290,000+ in 5 days w00t
The game cube was like what ? $250 at launch ? And then went to $99. The Ps2 was $500. This didn't stop Sony from selling 200 million units. Why would it now ?
