Long and short answer of it, take every bit of advice xlink has offered you. From personal experience, those 8600GT's are absolute ----e. I'm sick of people assuming that they are better than the 7*00 series simply because they have a higher number. I traded in a 7900GS for one, and I regretted it every day until I got my 8800GTX back. Also, saying you're sticking to nVidia because you don't like ATi is like saying you don't leave the house because it rains occassionally. Those 1950pro's are really nice cards, at a great price. If you even play the odd game on the weekend, or have any interest in doing anything that requires grunt from your video card (more things than you think), you're gonna regret that 8600.
