2 problems with your post FinestShadow: 1. That was pre-release of the PS3. 2. A quote from that same forum: "Comparing these two GPU's is like comparing Apples to Banana's. RSX on paper will have certain advantages over Xenon, and Xenon will have certain advantages over RSX." Just look at the games man, they look better on the PS3. Do I like the games on that system? Not really, but they look better.
So far graphics look better on ps3, personally, but i guess i've never really used HD some awesome games coming out for the ps3, its already got the movie rental installed, and has the new community avatar Playstation home coming out, i missed the xbox conference sadly I find the xbox interface appears a little better than the ps3s but then again you have to pay to use xbox live and as always ps3 has blue ray i currently only own a xbox 360 but i wouldn't mind having all three lol the wii games look like fun, and after a while can be a work out from personal experience, but sooner or later that will get old although i really want to try out that skate game that's coming along with the balance board or w/e its called wii:music looks kinda lame to me, fun to play around with for a little while but it will lose its touch ps3 appears to have alot of unique games coming out but like i said i haven't seen much for the x box360 lately don't know anything about the avatar setup that was announced for 360 but it looks like ps3 might beat them to it with the playstation home, and they already beat them with that movie store i was suprised to hear resident evil and final fantasy coming out for 360, it will steal some die hard fans from the ps3 but frankly i've never really enjoyed either of those series
excuse me, but if a company sells one billion units at $5 a piece, and goes bankrupt in the process and leaves the market... I'd call that company a looser. it's not about gamers or gaming, it's about a big multinational corperation trying to exploit people it deems as stupid in order to make profit. It's about money. Cold hard cash. Market share doesn't mean ---- if you are loosing money and expect to loose money in the future. games that have been multi platform have traditionally looked better on PC(simply because they get access to new tech first), xbox 360, ps3 and the wii in dead last place. it doesn't mean that there are exceptions, but xenos is a superior GPU as far as I'm concerned. RSX doesn't even have full SM3 support... that means no antialising while rendering high range dynamic lighting... and then there is the matter of RSX having relatively poor implementations of anisotropic filtering. These are things that have been known about for around 5 years now, back when nvidia launched NV30 and ATi launched R300, the GPUs on which RSX and Xenos are ultimately based upon. in fact nvidia doesn't even make GPUs based on NV30 anymore, their newer GPU architecture G80 has superior implementations of anisotropic filtering, antialiasing and not only full SM3 support but also SM4 support. I will say G70 seemed like a really good GPU. I had a graphics card using G70... in 2005. was the fastest card I'd ever used. was breath taking. then in 2006 I got a G80 based card... in some cases it proved to be 1- times as fast, just walked circles around it. my next card will be from the red team though. ATi's RV770 GPU is incredible, it's cheap to make and runs circles around G80 and G92
i like all 3 of them equally some of them have things i like better and all of them have the thing that is the other ones downfall to me
The Xbox 360 and PS3 do no compete with the Wii as they are aimed a different audiences. As for people who think the PS3 is better than the Xbox, they are idiots.
Actually, the graphics are really the same on ps3 and x360, on an 42" Full HD Sony? Or bigger? Yes. But of course PS3 should be better because its from the year 2007 and xbox is from 2005, so its owned, cuz the graphics are really the same D: OWNED.
Compare the actual quality of the console. Ignoring games. Pretty obvious PS3 is the winner. And I have all three consoles, the PS3 being my favourite. The 360 is a great console, good fun and so is the Wii. PS3>360>Wii. IMO. But it's very close between all three. All that means is that graphical technology hasn't increased between those years. Owned.
