Well this is a very orginized thread, not like those others "OMG WICH IS BETTER". I at first thought the WII controller sucked to, but now seeing it at another point of view it could be awsom. The PS3 will also be hardcore if what they say is true.
i have a 360, i like it but its not like omg dude it poons super hardcore. but im gettin a wii the controller is friggin awesome!
This may have been posted already but.... I find it insanely amusing that man people are completely disregarding the Wii. I have heard alot of people say that "the Wii is okay, I will get a Ps3 and a Wii because it is really cheap". Now lets say one person buys an XBox 360 and a Wii and another person buys a PS3 and a Wii Sales: 1-60 1-Ps3 2-Wii Go figure... Also do you guys remember why the gamecube lost the console war? Its because of a lack of 3rd party support. The Wii already has the most confirmed launch titles (I believe, I forgot where I got the information so I can't confirm it yet). There is already a huge amount of people buying the Wii for Nintendo's first-party games such as Mario, Metroid, Zelda, and Super Smash Brothers. Those first party series are the only reason the gamecube made it but now they appear to have a TON of third party support from those who want to take full advantage of the Wii-mote.
Are you guys smoking something special? Nintendo got their asses pwnt when Sony came around. In buisness popularity (or "fanboys/girls") make up one of the smallest fractions in sales. The PS3 is probably the most likely to lose. Nintendo took the smart way and aimed for the non-gamers/casual gamers who won't buy a hugely expensive system even if it IS better. The XBox drags in the players who are attracted to great graphics. Both of those systems are rather cheap compared to the PS3 so it is likely they will attract more buyers. Believe it or not price DOES matter. Nintendo has Gameplay. XBox has graphics. Sony has tons of fanboys. Please, give REAL reasons instead of being a F*ing fanboy. :tongue: Oh and FYI Xbox360 is ALREADY beating the other systems. The value of being released earlier.
ill toss another 2 cents... Wii is going be either 1st or 2nd....Xbox and PS are at war looking to overwhelm each other in ever department possible. Moving back a gen Xbox had DvD capabilties....Sony had DvD capabilities, Nintendo stayed off the DVDs. Sony loaded up on 3rd Parties. Xbox Followed. Nintendo made their own games. So its obvious nintendo is moving in a different direction. Now i'll take it from a Xbox360/Ps3 fan boy perspective Xbox360 has a WAY higher graphical power and will win because it's already out and it has a lot of good games such as halo 3, the FF (insert # here) online, and the online is AWESOME. Not to mention the sweet Hard Drive PS3 will own all. It has the highest power, so wat it if comes out later, it will be more powerful, and still fights with it's own online that and it includes so many different things like SD card slots. Okay revert against 360~ What good is graphical power? If the feel of gameplay is off? People like graphics for a realism feel right? Why don't u stand up and walk outside? (no bash intended) Okay so we have an Xbox360 with Halo 3 which i mite add is mentioned as the LAST halo. And also note with more power running through the system it also costs more money to keep the power. And so we have a hard drive....so? It's just like the old days of cartridge when everything was saved on the game itself..... Revert against PS3~ first note....we don't know if it is truely more powerful because 1) it hasnt been released 2) it hasnt be confirmed if the new technology will have longevity and performance. It's boasted as a powerful system, but nothing is truely proven. Okay i would note on the Hard drive but thats the same biz with the Xbox revert. And as for SD slots....wat do u need SD slots for? so u can take pictures for ur ps3? I bet Sony will make the "eye toy" become a camera OH EM GEE THATS SOO COOL. o wait i already have a digital camera o well. THATS SOO COOL. (talk about a fan boy) All those slots are useless. As for the price that will hamper the system so much. Kids play Video Games. Twenties people play video games. The people that have the most money are the people who are successful and in their late 30s-40s target a larger group. So the Wii doesn't have graphics. infact they even marked that the Wii IS NOT a next gen ,but simply a follower of the Gamecube to refine the gamecube. The Wii does support Gamecube games which there are quite a few good ones, mixed in that long list of crap games. Not to mention the Wii allows u to Download old games to play so this will stop people from commiting piracy to get a hold of Emulators and such and just simply get it for their Wii. Saves a lot of hassle lookin for good Roms. now assume that the Wii-mote doesnt work as intended. Assume that everygame does terrible with it even the ones built for it. it will never fall below Gamecube because it has everything GC has and More. So nintendo fails, but then still gets the innovation award and proves that nintendo cares about it's players and those who buy their games. Anyone can simply make a console with good graphics. Hell i bet Dell/Alienware could make their own console and make a Decked out system because thats exactly wat Microsoft did. my rant is over
Sorry but how in the hell is the Wii not next gen? If anything is not gen its the PS3/60. Oh WOW the graphics aren't as good as the 60 and PS3 its CAN'T be next gen. Only systems with amazing graphics can be next gen. :tongue:. So what the Wii is made out of isn't top-of-the-line, so what? When building something it isn't what is used to make it but the way available materials are used. The wii may not have as much power as the other consoles but it might make up for it in gameplay. Nintendo did more than adding better graphics and changing the controls a bit. The motion sensing powers of the control is what this system will be based on. Sure the PS3 has that tilting thing but that will only be a minor feature like the eye-toy. They will not base their entire console on that. Nintendo on the other hand are trying something other than good graphics. The x360 and ps3 will probably kill each other for graphics crown but never win the war because they were stopping each other so much. By "might" I don't mean "could make it by a teeny bit" but instead I mean whether or not the controller will be good. The folks at IGN played it and said it was good but this is the real world, you need to try things out yourself before deciding whether they are good for you or not. Oh and here is another little tidbit. Believe it or not, America is full of idiotic f**kheads. Most of them won't think about anything, they will just jump for whatever is most popular. Also America doesn't understand the concept of the "wii". Because of what I just mentioned PS3 or 60 is likely to win in USA. Japan on the other hand is a completely different matter. Most of them understand the concept of wii and the fact that it is a family system. Considering the culture in Japan Wii is most likely to win there. Those are the only countries I have extensive knowledge of so I won't say anything about any other countries.
There is a reason why they have gained so much popularity I predict PS3 will be THE next gen console, not saying the 360 and wii arent bad, but Sony pWns

I'd honestly prefer a monkey to randomly chose a sheet of paper with a company's name on it. Popularity means nothing, unless you are an idiot or live in america where most people buy without thinking you will buy the best console. Popularity did not help nintendo at all when sony ran up with the PS1.
