I don't get it? I mean all the machines now are practically hard-drive-less computers. The next-gen ones ARE computers with a different OS. Which is why I am puzzled as to why my computer can't be the size of a 360.
this topic is so simple the wii is for the youth of the gaming world. it brings gaming to the regular people. with its fun interactive ability to "play" the game and not just play the game it will be the best! the starting price is only $250. the playstation series has had a select group of users. The people that bought the ps1, and the ps2 have fallen into the Sony colt. so there is not much that u can do about them...but this new system that sony is making has a blueray dvd player!!!!! oh no!....this is not a big deal at all..because how many blueray dvds are there on the market and do u really think the dvd is going to out the door after 10 years? i think not! and the playstation 3 is $400-$600...which is weird because a regular blueray dvd player is $1000 and above..does make u question the quality of the blueray dvd player that sony put into ps3? ok...the last thing i have to say is about microsoft and their xbox 360....i think it was a dumb idea to come out with the system to earlly. it has bugs.. they had recalls.. it uses almost the same barebones as a computer but it runs at a last gen console speed. and all this new xbox live and buying more so u can play the xbox games is just to much..microsoft is trying to suck all the money out of the people that they can. SO!!! in my conclusion i say if u want the any of the next gen systems u should get the Wii...but if u have the money i would wait a year and then see if they have come out with something new for the xbox 360..because ther is no reason to by the xbox 360 right now because all the games are on the xbox as well!!!....there u have it!!! my really long comment on the new gen systems!!! You've got that wrong Wii> 360< PS3 Nothing is ever gonna' beat achievements on 360 obviously, but the gameplay for Wii is gonna' be sensational ((eww)). PS3's are doing the exact same thing as last time, but with better graphics... who cares! And games like GTA will be better on 360 because you'll be ablet to go onto the X Box live market place and buy extra missions and area's and stuff.
Playstation 3's controller changed, its back to the normal Ps2 controler except its transparent i believe, that was a dissapointment, but a lot of people didn't like the big controller. Even if the Ps3 costs a lot, with its Blue-Tooth vision and what-not. Its sure to be a major hit. Thats why i'm getting the Ps3 its 5x better than the 360 and 2x better than the Wii. The Wii will be the second best i believe, and the 360 will be trotting after the Wii. Thats what i can decide on based on the facts.

I already got the wii and 4 games payed off. I think the wii will sell the most and be the most popular. Ps3 is my next choice, just because of the game series on it, but you cant really say ps3>then whatever because it isnt even out yet. But the 360 is out, and I have the right to say, it down right blows
PS3 costs waaaaay too much. You can buy both the Wii and the Xbox 360 for the price of one PS3!! The games will also cost a lot cause they're on Blu-ray.
Here's how I see it 1. Wii- Reason: real innovative and cost efficient 2. Xbox 360- a bit pricey, but has Xbox Live and can buy games online 3. PS3- Just too damn expensive, but the graphics are insane, but it aint worth the 499 and 599 price tag.

I agree - its down to personal choice and I think that choice is made regardless of specs and games available - I will be getting a PS3, no other console even stood a chance, I am Sony through and through (PS,PS2,PSP,Vaio - I even have a Sony alarm clock...). If someone offered me an Xbox 360 for free, I seriously think I'd reject it (ok, I'd probably say yes and sell it on eBay, I'm not stoopid!).
