I thought it might have been the weed... but then i looked at the picture again today and the moon definatly was glowing orange last night!!
is this your first time seeing an orange moon? seen em a couple of times. it wasnt mars im pretty sure
You could see mars from earth, but not that large or vibrant lol It should look like a medium sized star pretty much on the days you can see it (depends on the planetary lineup). And yeah, I have seen it orange too, also a green and blue (kind of weird, i know). I dont have a picture tho, but I wasnt under the influence of anything at the time.
called a "hunter's moon." not sure what causes them (pollution? clouds? weird angle between sun and moon and our atmosphere?) anyhow, yeah, its pretty sweet.
Have you ever wondered why the moon is more orange or yellow in color when it first rises at night. This effect is caused by the atmosphere of the earth. The reason for the orange color is due to the scattering of light by the atmosphere. When the moon is near the horizon, the moonlight must pass through much more atmosphere than when the moon is directly overhead. By the time the moonlight reaches your eyes, the blue, green, and purple pieces of visible light have been scattered away by air molecules. That's why you only see yellow, orange, or red. The moon can have an orange color at any time of the year. Sometimes the moon appears orange even when it's directly overhead. This occurs when there's a lot of dust, smoke, or pollution in the atmosphere. The size of those particles will determine the type of color you will see. http://home.hiwaay.net/~krcool/Astro/moon/moonorange/ It's sweet though, I saw when I was in Florida a while back and the moon was huge and I was right on the water, sweeeeet reflection. Rockin'
Stupid explanations and all, tis obviously what it means: Apocolypse!!! WE'RE ALL GONNA DIE!!! HOLY GREAT MOTHER OF GOD!!!
yes greasy, it is an eclipse http://www.mreclipse.com/Special/LEprimer.html a LUNAR eclipse, not a SOLAR eclipse
Yah Black Dude is right its a Lunar Eclipse. I've seen them around here often. They are far more common then a Solar Eclipse in my area.
