just keep increasing the creds/post as needed.... and I'll be blunt there is little I can do as I'm in the lowest group of the staff. I don't have a vote in things like this. I can give my thoughts though.
for alot of people, like me, this is the only place were i can get some money. Because i'm 15 and I can't get work till i'm 16, so this was ieal for me. That was the main reason for me to join Gr, and this is also the reson of allot of other people. So I think we need to leave it like this and the credits value will go up agaon sooner or later. There is also a possibility that people can sell lower then 4.50$ for 1000 credits, so that people can't sell for their credits for 2$ per 1000 credits.
I remember before people used to sell FR for about 100 credits. Now people selling won't accept 100 because of people having at least 1k+ credits. I find it hard to compete with people because of their many credits. I think the credit/post solution should be implemented. And anyone who has over x number of credits can't have their credits increased by posting. This would disable them from getting more credits and give newer members the chance to increase their credits so they can be able to purchase items in the Offer/Requests, Downloads, and Auction sections. If a person's credits go under the max amount, they can post and get their credits up.
No, but you get credits for posting comments in the Renders section, and that is where most of the unneeded messages are posted, I think. I mean, take all those "thx for sharing posts" for example. And second, have you even bothered to look at the date that I joined here? Please read before making stupid comments like that I just joined here. True, I haven't posted much, but I've been browsing the forum a lot for a big while, and hanging out in the IRC channel for about a year now, so you can't really say that I don't have a clue on how things were before. Third, have you even thought about what the tax really does? I'm not gonna burst your bubble here, and won't spoil the answer for you, so I would like to ask you to read my post again, think about it for a minute, and then make your reply. Obviously you didn't understand much of it.
The issue with changing the amount of / distribution of credits (also inherant in removing them or any currency for that matter) lies in the simple fact that you will either A. Disparage further growth of the website since it will be so hard / unaffordable for new users to do anything B. Cause veteran users to leave because your removing their hard earned FC's (forum credits) In any board FC's are just FC's. those that have tons dont care about them, those that don't long for them. Your fc's may not be 'worth' as much as they used to but to be frank the way you get them (amongst others) is by contracting work, or by selling tutorials. If you want to see cutthroat bidding for work head over to scriptlance / elance / rentacoder. In any online econ people are willing to work for pennies, with that kept in mind, without minimums, people will. Undercutting is a smart businessmans way of stealing customers and profits from competitors.
tbh the people who complain about this are the ones who arent making the money or the ones who dont alrdy have it, stop crying like a baby and get on with it who cares if there is alot of money in england there is lots of money big whoop nobody cares go kill and ------ yourself.
erm interesting but i agree my credits arent worth lots and only reason i say this is coz ppl dont seem to be selling tuts tht much.
a great idea is a character limit in order to get credits... like all of these 1 cred, 1 post count forums ould be a great test thing you have to type 80 characters to get a credit....example: (about 80 characters) "This is eighty characters right here. TEST TEST TEST. lol, j/k rofl im such a spammer " ...instead of your regular: "nice cut, gj" - 12 characters or "im gonna use this render" - 24 characters
I give away credits for free to people that seem nice and have low reputation because they don't have a colored bar under their name. Because of that, I rarely have more than 50. Do I care? No. I don't buy tutorials because I find that making your own style is much more satisfying. I feel happier when I give away credits than when I get them.
I would have to add the this thread if it hasn't been stated thus far ( havn't read every post ) with the credits being worth less there are a lot more artist now with rather large accumulated bank rolls. For example, i would have to say i have witnessed the ammount of artists with bankrolls ranging into the 10's of thousands has increased, if not doubled due to the fact that credits have lost value for such a large time. Having said that, too force preassure on the currancy with great haste and speed alot more artist will make huge cash profits should they choose to sell ( i think alot of artits are waiting for this ). In full, what ever is done ( if anything at all ) to increase the value of credit to USD would have to be done slowly, the implication of mass methods like cutting 60% of the credit in circulation would most deffinatly inflate sales prices and prehaps have a revers affect on the market. In closing, To fix this problem it will need to be handled with delicate care and over a lengthy period of time, much like it took too become a problem. Ikky.

So its not like if you post a post with "12" characters you are not rewarded a creditand your post goes up its if you dont meet the "80" character limit your credit and post isn't given.
I don't see a problem with the rates, if the inflation goes to high, People could just sell there sig, tutorials ect. for more money. It wouldn't matter eaither way.
