My tag? Heh, thanks. Yours are cool too, it's just I've been coming across many frustrations and forget to post my thoughts. My Illustrator has been telling me I do not have enough memory to save projects, so an hours work gets screwed down the drain.. sigh. I've tried several things but it tells me the same thing when I try to save this one logo for my commercial art class. It's not due til like.. next Friday but it's frustrating when I work on it and cannot save it.. so yeah..
ctrl alt delete > processes > sort things by mem usage greater on top. make sure your computer doesn't need them running, if it doesn't start ending them. i'd advise disabling your virus protection, web browser and media player when you want to save. also increase your paging files (right click my computer > properties > advanced > performance settings > advanced > virtual memory - change.) you can do it custom or let the system manage it, i'd google good settings if i were you. Thanks. I rebooted my comp, and made sure no other apps were open but no dice, and it's a REALLY simplistic 3 color drawing/logo, small in size, too. I think it's an error with my illustrator cs2 as well, because it gives me this error sometimes "An unknown erorr, cannot save. [CANT]" and then sometime after it says "Not enough memory for finished preview [-108]". And sometimes instead of the cannot save error, it just says "An unknown error occured". So yeh, I'm uninstalling it and going for cs3..if that doesn't work, then I'll get my memory upgraded with the last of my cash [98 dollars]. Also, I pressed some button and my ctrl alt delete menu changed, so it doesn't show the tabs but just processes that I can choose to cancel, and I have no idea what I did. v.v
