Dew - I hope you don't mind me wearing the gift I made for you. xP And glad you had a good Birthday. ^^ SkatZ - Ahhh, none of your work appeals to me, sorry. The first tag is much too busy, with the focal point being unclear due to the vast amount that's going on at once....The text also looks like it's jsut been thrown in for the sake of it. The second tag I'm guessing has been made with Cliche's tutorial about the Pen Tool and such. It does show some ability, but it's very basic, and again, there's an issue with the text...>_< The final tag has good flow, but Spidey doesn't blend in with the rest of the sig. The lighting is alright,. but some of the different effects appear to be all over the place...Like the red part underneath Spidey's hand? Your LPs also both seem to be be built up with practically the same method yet again....A filled colour, some brushing on Overlay, then blur the render using Motion Blur a few times, put it on Overlay, then paste in the actual render, re-size and position, add sparkle and pen tool, and some text for good measure.... I think on your tags, you need to improve on basically effects and focal. None of your tags seem to drw one's eyes anyway, but rather all over the sig, trying to absorb everything that's going on at once. Try and use lighting to your advantage, to try and get the focus area around the actualy render/focal, rather than spread over the entire signature. Try going 'Apply Image', then 'Lighting Effects', and do a small 'Omni' next to/on the focal you want, and then set that layer to a lowered opacity, around 20%. That tends to work on a lot of signatures, as it gets attention easily....But it works best if you do it early on in the sig-making phase. As then you can work around and with it. To improve your LPs, I'd try something different. Think of something that really means somethign to you, and work on it...Get inspiration from somewhere, make something original, out of the ordinary. Originality can really appeal to people, so being original means people will be much more impressed with your LPs. Oh, and remember that text doesn't have to be added...Like, ever. Only where it seems really necessary should it be added, not just thrown in for the sake of it. Text is optional. ^^ Sorry if anything I say about people's work/apps seem cruel or generally mean, but I'm jsut providing my honest opinion and C&C. Please note that I am not trying to offend you! Sorry dude, but for now, it's a no from me.

You can wear the gift, hehe. Sorry SkatZ. You're a nice guy but your tags all lack a solid color scheme, like, they have some matching elements then the background or other effects don't. Overall sloppy/ lack of WOW effects as well. I'm going to vote No, but maybe next time eh? Maybe, try your hand at reading some tutorials around this place, there are tons. Especially if you donate to the site/buy a subscription.
No to skatz. Yes to Charming but I would like to see a tag just to see what you can do. Oh, and happy belated birthday Dew. :wub:
skatz, don't let the rejection get you down man. Keep workin at it and you'll get there. You have to get knocked down at first in order to improve. You can reapply pretty much any time, so hopefully we'll see you soon.. that is of course if you don't get in!
