Just read the book for school and its an interesting story. Now please don't make this a religious war but does anyone think there is truth in it?

I do. I don't care if a nutcase frenchmen thinks the Priory is made up because it ain't IMO. There is a holy grail out there and its not jesus' cup or some documents but its the bearer of Jesus' bloodline aka Mary Magdelene. Now thinking that there is a direct descendant of christ walking the earth is a little far-fetched but who knows.

I've read the book, and in even in flatout lies; their is truth, always.

I found it very interested, great novel; but i feel most people will treat it as one- only a novel. Even the church can't ignore the sales of the book though.

the book is an incredible read, the soryline is extremely engrossingand its a must read no matter what your beliefs are

as for the political part of it, most of the story is of course storytelling, it is based on some facts but then twisted and distorted into an incredible tale

the sales of the book shows that the church is losing support, especially in the newer generations

thats just plain lazy isnt it, a lot of time reading books is far more satisfying than watching a movie, besides it benifits you in many ways, it expands your vocabulary beyond 'son of a bitch'

really not reading books for reasons like that is just plain ignorance, grow up and at least try to challenge yourself intellectually

it is about two people who search for the holy grail thats protected by a secret cult, except it takes a completely diffrent take on the idea of the holy grail, it is an exceptional novel and if you haven't read it then your missing out

Great Book. Its being made into a moive, isnt a good thing. The moive will ahev lots of edits, stuff that offends christaians will be taken out. WHY BOTHER? The kind of content was the content that made the book popular!

Anyway, if anyone gets a chance, read ANGELS & DEMONS, by the same author. Also good, i like it much better. Thus, my current sig....
