I think this is great. Some really nice colors, effects, and depth. There could be more of a light source though. Try experimenting with it a little.

def need to improve the lightning, and it needs to get the "wow" factor,
nothing really stands out at the moment if you know what i mean and thats a shame because the effects look really good.
some lighning effects maybe?

i like it and it looks good to me but you call it a photo manip and aren't providing the stock to show us what you actually did.. is my only problem..

the effects are everywhere and look messy
there is no sense of lighting (already been pointed out )
the moon is random
wireframes over his face are.. well crap
theres a bird in the top left (absolutely random)
it has a centered focal which i cant stand. but thats just me

you did get the depth right however
