im sorry but either this story is a big ass lie... or your uncle is just doing something stupid. Who buys a new licensed driver a Lotus to start out?? r u kidding me? hes buying u one of the fastest, most luxerious cars and ur just starting to drive???...how about u gain some experience with a civic before u go speeding through the streets with a lotus...just my opinion, make sure u tell me when ur going out for a ride so i can stay home. (no offense)
I never said id drive it as soon as i got it. I wanna drive a ----ty car for a bit, so i dont like..crash the lotus the first day lol. And my uncle is nice, but he told me if i ---- up the car he aint paying for it lol Jesse
So your first car will be a Lotus speed machine... Have fun wrapping your self aroudna telephone pole at 112 mile per hour... btw if your gettigna lotus, i hope you know how to drive standard
true... u gotta know how to drive stick...and i dont know any young teenagers who just got their license who can drive stick, i mean it just takes some practice to get it... lol w/e man enjoy the car, have fun while it LASTS...
Its stick shift? O damn haha. Ill have to learn that in my step dads truck hehe. Ill just let it sit around and look pretty till i learn stick haha Jesse
Ok we can make this fun! I got 3 weeks after first drive before car is destroyed. Any takes? place your bets poeple, palce your bets...
Yea a lotus isnt fast.... Planes dont fly either. I bet you also knew the holocaust and vietnam war were made too right? Know you sh*t dude. Unless your comparing it to the TRD Castrol Tom Supra, a Lotus is hella fast. Engine: Toyota supplied, 4 cylinder, DOHC 4 valves per cylinder with variable valve timing and lift Capacity 1796cm3 Bore/Stroke 82.0mm / 85.0mm Maximum Power 190hp (141kW) @ 7800rpm (DIN 70020) Maximum Torque 138lb ft (181Nm) @ 6800rpm (DIN 70020) Compression ratio 11.5 : 1 Fuel tank capacity 10.5 US gallons Gearbox/Clutch - 6-speed close ratio with single dry plate clutch Ratios First 3.17:1 Second 2.05:1 Third 1.48:1 Fourth 1.17:1 Fifth 0.92:1 Sixth 0.81:1 Reverse 3.25:1 Final drive 4.53:1 Performance: 0-60mph 4.9sec (4.7 sec Sport Pack) 0-100mph 12.9 seconds Top speed 150 mph Fuel consumptionEPA 23 City - 27 Highway Curb weight Base Car 1984 lbs *(Touring Pack + 15 lbs. - Sport Pack - 20 lbs) It may only be a 4 banger, but I will garuntee it will outrun any car you will probly ever own...
It is possible that he will get the car, and just becasue the car is fast doesnt mean he will drive it that fast.
You'll love standard....much better than automatic. If you get your gears right, prepare to burn everyone in the dust.......once you get better that is. Ohh and I learned to drive with a 2000 Impala, so you could learn with something pretty good like that. You don't have to drive a sh*** car. Reason being is because...well....if it's Sh****........umm......Why drive it???? lol
If you have a choice of any car under $100k why choose a Lotus? I'm not slating the Lotus, they are appealing cars, but I'm sure you can find a better one within the [massive] price? I also hope you're not taller than about 6ft, I seen a guy about 6ft tall getting out and in his Elise, just lets say it was a struggle for him. The car is so low down.
