I don't even know why I'm responding to this post, since it is just ignorance, but did you even bother to read what I just posted?

I love how you ignored the first part of that quote because it didn't suit your arguement.

Find some proof and I'll respond to that.

Even though you STILL didn't show proof (link?), my numbers were only 200,000 off of yours, while the topic creator stated 1.8 million.

Thanks for helping prove my point.

do u know what outright means....it means on the spot, instantaneously. that doesn't say that all the armenians that died were killed outright.

it doesn't matter if the numbers are 200,000, 800,000 or 1.8 million. the fact is that the turkish are guilty of a mass murder. a murder is a murder.

You still showed no link to prove your point. I'm curious to know what you want out of this thread? Do you expect us to like, bow to your victumness? Seriously, I see no point in this. It doesn't really matter, because it was done a long time ago, no? So the point in "proving" that the Ottoman Empire were mass murders does you no good because, that empire no longer exists.

Unless of course you expect the GR community to gang up on the current Turkey and overthrow their government. If that be the case, I think I'll sit this one out... <_<

    1. Still waiting on that link.
    2. My point isn't whether Turkey commited a mass murder, it's about how biased you're all acting. I have no seen a shred of proof suggesting that they were eaten by dogs, tortured, or anything of that nature. I still haven't seen any proof that there was over a million people killed, let alone nearly 2 million.

no, it's just this really bugs me "The Republic of Turkey does not accept that the deaths of Armenians during the "evacuation" or "deportation" (Turkey uses the word "relocation") are the results of an intention from Ottoman authorities (or those in charge during the war) to eliminate in whole or in part the Armenian people indiscriminently."

    o gosh a relocation.

    o.o victim-ness? i suppose you're talking to relig.

I'm talking to whoever started this thread. I didn't even bother to look. This is just ridiculous. I doubt the creator of this thread even cares, just wants to look a victum.

I have photos and such passed on through my family, and although alot of what you said may not be true or backed with any evidence, you make alot of points and it's nice that people know about the genecide.

alot of my family (the kesterlians) were amongst the killed and my great great (great?) grandfather spent his life devoted to killing turks after his family was slaughtered, our family used to be much wealthier aswell before they were run out of their land and property by turkish, who have stripped all the buildings.

During the genecide any children under the age of 14 or 15 i think it was were to have their eat cut off (usually before they were killed) and they were attacked to a line of string used to count how many armenian children the turkish had killed, my family has photos of this and amongst them are some kesterlian ears.

On a final note, just to show some turkish peoples attitudes, in cyprus, where i live, on the greek side, the turkish propertys are kept in imaculate consition after the island was split.
Iv'e been to the turkish side once, and never again, the armenian propertys are completely stripped of everything and are mainly just brick. In the town i went too the armenian mosque had been stripped, i'm a athiest so im not that bothered about that, but it was the disrespect that got me down. The stripped mosque was covered in lights advertising something, i can't remember, downstairs was a souvinier shop, and upstairs, where people used to PRAY was a toilet, yes, a toilet.

And the fact that the turkish refuse to accept the fact there was a geneside now is ridiculious.

Why do they refuse to accept it? Beacause if they admit to the genecide, they will have to return armenian property.
