textwork is one of the hardest part of making a sig/avatar

show specific sigs if you want to know how something is made.

    Simple, bro.

    1. Write out your text. Go to Blending Options, and select Outer Glow and Inner Glow. Leave them to defaults, or tweak the opacities a bit.
    2. Duplicate the text layer, and rasterize it. Go to Edit -> Transform -> Flip Vertical.
    3. Move the flipped text under the original text so that it looks like a reflection. Now bring the opacity down to below 50% to whatever you like.

    :)

    Il add some more ;)

    1. Write out your text. Go to Blending Options, and select Outer Glow and Inner Glow. Change the outer glow opacity to white on 75% opacity.
    2. Duplicate the text layer, and rasterize it. Go to Edit -> Transform -> Flip Vertical.
    3. Move the flipped text under the original text so that it looks like a reflection. Now bring the opacity down to below 50% to whatever you like.
    4. On the duplicated text layer go edit >> transform >> skew and play about with the settings.

guys, guys guys, no need to rasterize before flipping vertical
UNLESS you want to transform using perspective.

    you can skew textlayers

for this i duped the layer. reduced the vertical size to 50% by draggin down. make sure the text is written in black and remove all styles.
put the dupe layer below the original one
    the skewed it about R:70

then rasterized and Gaussian Blur (1.1px)

PS: you can do tis to a render as well
need to create a new layer
then activate the selection of the render
fill that new layer with black and do the above ^

That's an interesting effect G70. Makes the light source seem like it's right next to the person looking at the sig. But the guy wanted a water-reflection style. Whatever works for you bro. :)

indeed :) but that's already been explained twice ^

    [IMG] perspective rather then skew

[IMG] and with a ripple and blur
