Basically im over making sigs and LP's, i wanan try somthing new, and for the moment Templates for web sites seems like an interesting ste forward, however i know nothing about it, from what i would need to use and need to get to where to start. So i was hoping of getting some lessons either by one person or a team, depending on prices ( payed after each lesson ). I would need to see whos interested and a few examples of work. Also a 5 or up rep is needed so i can trust the person along with the price pre lesson and length of the lesson. I would liek to learn to make them from scratch all the way along to hosting, prehaps codeing, but not so sure about what that would involve, i studdied a little on HTML codes for a semster 5 yrs ago. ty Ikky.
nobody can really teach you how to make a good templates they can only help you to learn faster. Its not even close to sigs.... but good luck
Im making a massive tutorial about web design, What to and whatg not tos if you know what i mean, Be sure to keep an eye out
I'd be willing to help you out. The only way you're going to get good at making web pages, or templates, is to practice. But by showing you how to use certain tools, and making an example web page with you, you should be well on your way. Feel free to PM me if you're interested.
id use some help to , i know HOW to do , but dont know WHAT to do , you know , like what needs to be on the page .. so i'd be glad if there was some1 willing to help me on that side
Well i know what needs to be on one, but im not clear on how to make one. As in, im assuming each button should be a sepperate layer, so they can be hyper linked with html. I dont know how to save it, im sure its liek " save for web " or w/e. Basicaly just getting started and finishing ... it somthing i wanna learn but need clarification on what i should and shouldn't do .... so im willing to pay for help ... but no one wants to help. All you would need to do basically is be on my msn so i can get instant answers to any questions i have ... and lend advise, i can desing well IMO.
I don't think many people realised you meant to whole thing ikky, slicing and coding included Not many people that make the designs (non-professionally) really finish them, so all you really need to do is make a .psd of what you want
Well thats a start, basically what i wanan do mostly is make the art behind it, if anyone wants what i make they can get it coded, but im not sure where to start, average size is 600x800 i think ... but even then im not sure. Interested in teaching me chakka? payed ofcorse.
Read tuts is a good way to start. This website helped me alot. http://www.talk-mania.com/forumdisplay.php?f=3
I would if I felt like I could, but you would not get your money worth (damn my lack of knowledge I really need some creds lol :lol. In honesty I have only ever finished one of my designs, the portfolio that's still floating around in this section a few threads down. Currently I'm working on an image hosting site layout which isn't going too well  Sizing is the number one problem I have, I never know how large things should be, but find some examples (DA is good, and Audigex on GR does a lot if you can track him down) and just see roughly what sizes they use. I find, and may not be correct, but giving a linear, monotone or repeated pattern background on the very edges of any design is always good as this can be repeated or cut down to fit all screen sizes if you ever code. Other then that all I do is browse the web, take a look at designs and try and get inspiration. Using matching colours always is a must; keep colours to a minimum, two or three is normally right. Use easy to read and well spaced fonts such as Arial, Times New Roman and Century Gothic. As for style, web design follows the trends of LP's imho, so right now a lot of modern, simplistic designs are around, with some vector work and pen tooling going on, all very "clean" and basic. Tech style designs have stopped being used as they aren't as instantly user friendly and it's harder to get a really ----- look. I find all you need is a rough idea of layout and then good knowledge of how to combine default shapes in CS2 and pen tool work to get what you have in your head onto paper. Try to start with something simple, don't go too curvy first time unless you're really used to pen tooling. Oh, and finally, Flash actionscript is a commonly used coding language, a bit like php but with more Flash qualities. Flash sites are those ones that have a "loading bar" when you first enter them, and often have parts of the site spiral around. They also rarely use more then one page (or so it seems) just with parts of the page changing. A lot of video game sites use Flash, and actionscript is an easier to use, toned down version of this. Dr!ver and Dark Prince11 are the ones you really want to ask though  Also thanks for [+]rep
