well, my Social Studies teacher doesn't say anything, because she knows that some kids will get mad, but my english teacher makes a joke about Dick Cheney every chance he can get. Now, I'm a democrat, so I don't care, but it's cool how he weasels it in. Like, we're reading To kill a mockingbird, and Atticus is shooting the dog, and he goes, good thing dick cheney wasnt shooting the dog or Scout might've been dead. I was like lol!

"To kill a Mockingbird" that's all you had to say :P

And I personally think teachers should have their own views, it prepares you for arguments, debates and hell, fights. Every opinion is valid, regardless of who it comes from, or what their job is, it's vaild. And you as a person opposing that view should have challenged it, not did a childish thing and running away.

Most of my views are challenging to my teachers (I goto a Roman Catholic Highschool, and I'm not that Catholic) Just learn how to fight for your view and you'll be fine.

    Erk.
My RE teacher, desperately tried to convince me and the other Atheists in the class there is a god. We all stormed out.

Theres a difference between opinion, and repeatedly telling someone their wrong. And imo you shoudn't take it.

He said "No Matter what you think, there IS a god, whether you like it or not"

    We were like ":|"

Exactly, my teacher is the same way, except he's usually only political, but nonetheless, exactly.

I think that teachers should keep their political, cultural, and religious beliefs to themselves during school hours. It's great for them to have opinions (as it's hard proof that teachers don't have to be boring bricks), but that doesnt mean they should allow the opinions to get in the way of their job, teaching. If they allow their opinions to interfere with that, then it's out of hand...

you cant just walk out any time somebody says something that offends you

face it and confront them on the issue

respect their opinion, many of my teachers do voice their opinions, but they also allow us to do the same, and they offer us the respect of listening, learn to do the same...
