I'm considering getting one, looking at a Wacom Bamboo at the moment. Anyone that has a tablet, what would you recommend, why, and how much is it? (In AUD).
I have the Bamboo, it pretty much does what I want it to do. Clean, smooth lines that is impossible to create with your mouse. Though if you really want to use it for making paintings etc., get the wacom intuos 4. It's badass. But, the price is as well lol.
Well, I have a badass amount of money to spend (which is a rare thing), but I don't wanna go over the top buying a great quality tablet, as it's my first and I'm still novice at PS. Think I'll go with the bamboo then. Will help with some of my flash anims too :3
Well, ----. Maybe I'll google that next time, I'll now rephrase, and say: I have a (near) badass amount of money to spend. :3
If you're a beginner, I'd recommend the Bamboo. It may not be in the same league as the intuos range, but it does everything you'll need to get a feel and a taste for tablets.
Kwell, I found some places really close I can pick 'em up, I'm gonna go tomorrow check out prices. Just wondering about sizes, on the website there was only an A6 advertised for $130, which seemed like a lot for a tiny size?
You're better not buying directly from Wacom. Anywho, Bamboo works, but if you can shoot for a small Intuos 4 or even the Intuos 3 which is going to have dropped in price now due to 4 coming out. In terms of, tablet, Heirachy, the Intuos 3 is still third. Cintiq Intuous 4 Intuous 3 Cintiq's go for over 1000$ though.
Mmmm, I don't really wanna throw all that money into a tablet as I'm still very inexperienced. I've pretty much decided to go for the bamboo, I just need something entry-level that does the job.
I have a 12x12 intuos3, and having used both the intuos3 and the intuos4, the intuos3 aren't far behind. A6 is quite small, and I personally would say you'd be better off going 6x8 (or 6x9 I think it is with the intuos4)
You can get an A4 Intuous 3 for less than £130 now. Just, personally, A6 seems too small and that's what you'll get from a Bamboo. A5 Bamboo's are roughly the same price as Intuos 3 A4 for some odd reason.
I know nothing about tablets, but depending on price I would save up for a good one. Dont waste money on a decent one which you will probably replace in a year or so, when you buy something new go for the best dont settle for anything less. wow did not mean to rhyme... =/
