i just found this site a few days ago and it is a pretty cool idea. ModernTee.com. if you like designing things, and would like the chance to make some cash, you should give it a try. i wouldn't mind a couple of votes on my shirts as well, my name on the moderntee site is crackerman. to view/vote my shirt designs i've done so far you can click my sig
that prize if they chose your design is $250 plus you get 2 shirts of your design free and for ever shirt sold you get $1 royalty from it, if they choose to print that design again you get another $250
One question.. How does one do T-shirt designing? Do I just look up blank T-shirts on Google and just add effects to them?
nah, you make a design and then extract it onto a shirt. ive started a little thing where i design and sell my own designs, as seen through my sig. I have a silk screen machine still and a press later.
Oooh okay. And the designs I make have to be 100% made from scratch right? Since there are certain rights about using certain resources commercially.. Guess I'll have to download Illustrator
Not necessarily. Not all shirts have to be vector graphics. In fact it would be easier and more effective to use raster in order to get the results you want. Just work at a high DPI, anything over 300.. As for the color space, I'm not sure what's needed for shirt printing.
This is sick. Thanks. My friends and I all wear our own t-shirt designs. Sick of trying to find unique and colorful t-shirts at the mall. Don't like wearing the same ---- as other people. Designing your own t-shirts is limitless, and I've got a lot of compliment. Like blank tees, where the graphic is at the bottom and goes around the side. Or Gradient tees, etc. So fresh.
well i only have an old silk screen machine that still works wonders. since its silk screening i can used only mostly vectors and less colours.
Well, actually it's got little to do with clothing. It's a design competition site. The fact the theme is apparel has little to do with it.
Nevermind, found it: http://www.designbyhumans.com/win/tshirt_design_guide ^ For anyone needing templates. <3
