Bleh. Darkened version is a no. It actually hurt my eyes which means you increased the contrast. Colors could use some work, and the effects as well. They seem a bit mediocore to be honest. I like the text, but the blurring of things makes everything look awful. It's so frequently done. Well anyway. Colors and depth need help. You could have placed the render in a creepy atmosphere like a house or a morgue, and worked from there. Nothing special imo. Sharpening up the blur would be good, and then taking the burn tool to add depth by darkening the background. Which would help the foreground, and the focal.
