If you havn't realized, that 10 second chip is going to 5Ghz in OC. So he is VapoChil ing it or something still.

@Comp Kid, I only tell that I already knew this and Im also thinking about getting this processor thats why I said I'd probably get the e6600. Anything wrong with it?

Im wondering how the temperatures are when at normal stock.

well, if it's going to run faster on stock, it must have some advanced cooling in it...

what do you mean if it runs faster that you need better cooling? Aren't these core 2 duos suposed to be more like the AMD's in this case tempurature (compared to the pentium 4's and d's?)

only takes ln2... still very impressive though... in order for me to trim to tht speed... man... I don't think I can get to 7.5-8.0GHz, even with ln2

to run stable, at those speeds you will need tremendous cooling. I don't care what the suggested TDP is- W=AV and W=FV^2 i don't think it's possibelt o run it at 5GHz stable on stock voltage....

i didnt mean that xelink... xmaster said something like if you want to run these processors faster then stock... then you are going to need more then stock cooling... implying like a 500 Mhz to like 900 Mhz overclock would need more then stock cooling... which it wouldnt... anyone agree?

most likely it wouldn't. But for that kind of an OC stock would fry it.

lol, well no ----. it would fry any chip if you tried to OC it nearly 100% of its factory clock speed on stock cooling.

Hmm, so ie, a zalman 9500 would be enough for a 600mhz oc?
