Sorry if this has been mentioned.
A lot of people know people off this from outside of it, like on MSN.
Usually when I look at people's reps, there's reps like 'Hi' or 'beans'.
People seem to ask their friends to rep them and they'll rep them back in exchange (including me), which in effect makes reputation useless.
I think there needs to be a rule on [+]Reps, that they have to have a reason so people don't just get their friends to [+]Rep them every 30 days.
I don't know how this would be done, however.
    Whaddya' think?

How are the mods going to enforce that? Think about it.

Its a good idea and all but there are a few MAJOR flaws.

1.Most of the admins/mods DO have lives or are addicted to wow.

2.it would require the mods searching through 60,000 members and growing , and checking every single rep.

Good idea but like i said there are some major flaws.
Maybe a minimum of words that can be used, that would stop the one worders :).

    My 2 cents

    Scoob :D
    I love you XeN

I think your rep rights should be removed for continuing to rep Beatsa even when he got the first 2 removed :<

    I also think it's a bad idea.

this is the dumbest idea. It would take months. And sometimes If I would share a PSD someone might just -Rep me saying. hi or beans lol/

i was gonna say it before red said it, there is a rep lol, you need a valid reason to rep someone. That seems like the right rule right there. People abuse the rep system all the time, it happens you can't expect them to see it all the time, all staff are choosen cause they are the best for the job, if you arent chosen then you can't do a better job them then, its a simple fact.

Even if there was a way to enforce it. Look through all the -reps. The "friends" talking on MSN could just take 5 more seconds out of their day and say. "Nice guy, gave me a free .psd and helped me out with something" and then it would be a valid reputation point. There are only a handful of people, IMO, that plus rep validly.

PS I seem to remember a while back clicking on someones reputation point chart and seeing the rep they themselves have given out. Was I hallucinating or is there a way to actually do this?

The best thing is to remove the rep system. It doesn't need to be here in the first place. That is what I think. =)

No, there is a way to do that. If you are viewing someone's rep, and then you click the name of someone who has given rep to that person, it will show you all the rep they have given out.

    I hope that made sense ^_^;;
