but that would means buying the whole account :)

I'm not sure if it's possible to transfer rep easially. I think it required a database edit, but I'm not sure.

So if someone was not active for a year, he'll lose his account? If he really had a good donator account, lots of credits and he'll lose everything? Don't think it's a good idea.

I dont think it works like that, take the account I showed you as an example.

    http://www.gamerenders.com/forum/index.php?showuser=69232

The guy joined feb 23 06, never posted once, and was last active feb 23rd. I think accounts like those should be sold, not donator, and IF a donaters account is sold maybey they just change the name on it, but still have the person have access to it or something?

the idea is not to claim the user account ...
it's just to take the username

for example a user with username ABC has been inactive for more than 6 mths ... this username got sold for 5k creds to me ... my username get changed to ABC ... and the original user ABC get his name changed to something like INACTIVE1

hmm i think this idea is crap. If someone don´t can or wants to come for a amount of time it´s his problem and if he is back again after this time and he see´s that his account don´t works he/she would be realy pissed of :(

I doubt someone will remember what thie name was 6 months ago. And I dont think it will be done to accounts with a decent post count, like if someone like tazzy went inactive for 6 months he's got a bunch of post/creds.

The mods are already deleting some inactive accounts with creds I belive to get creds out of the system.

We need a mod to respond.

They could just send an email their way saying "you have been inactive for xx months. Your new name is xxxxx"
