    Ctrl + Alt + Delete

Close firefox, re-open it and choose your profile.

that doesnt always work actually, my friend just had this happen to her

what you have to do is close out of all firefox processes like he just said ^^^ only after you do so, you have to go to start->run and in the run box type

    firefox -p

that opens up the profile box, and just choose "default" and youll be set :D

It's the exact same process... when you do that it makes you choose your prefered profile.

actually, the way in which IE is made makes it less efficient if you have a decent system, they have been effectively using the same shell since the mid 90s and that isn't good. IE7 is a bit better(kind of), but IE6 even with SP2 is a hell hole.

also, there is the fact that IE6 is somewhere close to being 5 years old with no real updates and just a few patches to fix problems(not even all are fixed though) and when it was released it didn't even meet every single W3C specification there was, FF meets ALL of them including the new ones which have been made in the last half decade.

let's just say that there is a reason why my school removed access to internet explorer on most of their computers...
