Still Banned

Hey,

Basically I completely missed this whole Aprils Fools joke saga but a close friend in RL was caught up right in the middle of it (Northern). He ended up being suspended for saying things against Dem but then logged on with my account to try and get himself unsuspended, resulting in me being banned. Now I find out the whole thing was a joke could I be unbanned? Northern's been unsuspended so currently I'm being punished for his actions when he's been pardoned lol.

I saw Majins topic as well and thought I'd mention I am/was a Ruby Member too just incase you need to unban me differently or something iunno
I also realise I've already posted here and xlink said to go to IRC and ask an admin but I can't get into IRC, Java always has problems running on my PC for some reason and its not connecting properly and that topic was closed so I had to make this one.

Your loss. Don't give your information to a friend whom will ban evade on your account and spam shit.

Also, he wasn't banned for saying anything to me. He was banned for spamming across the forums, 'lol its a joke!!!! KEKEKEKE OMFG I R TEH SO SMART!'

To be fair he was evading an unfair suspension done to him as part of a joke and I don't know about him spamming, all I can find from his posts seems no worse than most of what went on with this whole thing

 

The suspension was fine.

Deleting multiple threads nad posts and being told to stop by moderators even in process of a joke is still a legitimate warning. He continued, ban evaded, continued, ban evaded a second time, continued, and finally got the message.

His posts are in the archive, thus you can't see them, only staff.

So basically I'm banned. OK fine, I presume thats across the board so I cannot make new accounts? Is it perma or time based, and if the latter how long roughly before I can appeal? As this doesnt seem to fit anything in the rules I thought I may as well ask; seeing as I've done nothing wrong yet am banned.

 

You yourself are not banned.

You commited no wrong doing. He did.

You yourself are fine to create new accounts and continue posting. Your account will not be unbanned until Northern is (and I am currently pushing to kepe him banned atm, even though hes been pardoned so far). So until we come to a decision on Northern for sure, you will not have access to your account.

 

OK, sorry to be a pain but one final question: I'm presuming the banned account retains memberships/creds if unbanned? It just affects whether I get a new account or wait until I find the outcome of this and see if I can get my old account back as, well obviously, I rather liked it lol

 

this is not fair. How was i meant to know it was all an joke. I know your not meant to go on other ppls accounts but i thought that as the whole forum had been "taken over" i wanted to see what was going on. Yes i made more accounts coz I got suspended for NO reason before I started spaming which wasnt much really "across the forum" lol yeah right.... I did it in spam heaven and the problems seciton as well as the news topic which was beiing spammed anyway....

I did it once and i'm sry, chakka has help GR out loads in the past by haivng the big shop of free etc please unban him and ban me instead.

I was never told to stop! yes i knew my posts were being deleted but so were kovans!!! and how did i know (fully) it was a joke again? You were banning loads of ppl for no reason....

 

I'm giving my input though the descision is not mine to make. i personally think that pretty much every suspension which had even the slightest bit to due with the joke should be nullified regardless of what the person did. it was a chaotic time for many and well... you can't alienate people.

 

I can't say I disagree with you xlink lol and thanks for the support. Also I've been talking this over with Northern and a couple of others and frankly I can't say I agree with the outcome; I've read those supposedly spammed threads and although I never saw the content of what Northern posted theirs got to be far worse or equal still there by tens of people that got away without even a warn raise.

Just wanting to know whether any decisions had been made. I'm still not entirely convinced of the logic behind MY account being banned whilst Northerns isn't...but either way wondering if I have to give it up for lost or not yet?

 

As I said, I am currently working on re-banning northern because of the spam that took place. If we decide to not re-ban him I will unban your account.
