Hey folks.. Just wondering if anyone is having any similar issues to me, or if anyone knows how I could resolve it..

Basically I got Half Life 2: Episodes One and Two on friday, and havent been able to download them yet.. Everytime I try, I get the same message: "The Steam servers are currently too busy to handle your request. Please try again in a few minutes."

This happens everytime I try.. Do you think the servers are in fact too busy, or is there another problem?

I have managed to download several game trailers with no problems at all, and can play CS:S perfectly, but whenever I try to download either game, that error just appears..

I have tried resetting the router, adding the necessary ports to my firewall, deleting the *.blob file in the Steam directory, and nothing works. I've also checked the status of Steam and it appears to be running fine.. I've looked over the internet, but no one else seems to be having the same issue, and if they do, it seems to leave the topic empty of working suggestions..

Anyway, I wanted to try here as well as the Steam forums to give me a better chance of getting a working answer :)

Any help is greatly appreciated :)

I've never had the same problem but always contact steam if such a problem occurs. Find their email or phone number and ask away. It's my only solution for you.

I do find it odd that it keeps saying the servers are busy.

I tried reinstalling it, and it had no effect on what was happening.. The problem is still occuring :( I'll leave it a few days, and see if there is any chance in the situation. If not, I'll get in contact with Steam customer support. :)

Thanks for the help guys ;)

Hmm, this problem mostly occurs with cracked Steam.exe files...

    Downloaded it from www.steampowered.com?
